We came here with a party of 9 several had lasagne which overall when I ask those that had the dish they said it was average and nothing special, my partner had hickory chicken and she said it was lovely, my daughter had the the chicken in garlic sauce which unfortunately was a miss as came slightly pink on the bottom so she paid but didn't eat the dish, on asking the server about the dish although it had been at the table for around 10 minutes the dish was bought back and told the temperature for this dish was correct, a shame she was not offered a different dish rather than leave someone to pay for something they thought might make them ill, I am not applying at all that the dish would have made her ill as the chicken was cooked but a little pink on bottom. I had Gammon which was cooked alright only slightly over cooked as the Gammon was thin, saying that I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. As an overall on all we had I would say it was slightly over priced which is such a shame. Our meal of 4 mains and 4 drinks no sides being £73 so average of £18 per head. I have had better than this for less money. Such a shame as lovely staff and nice pub.

Only went for a meal
Asked for sparkling water, got still.
Friend asked for mushy peas got fresh.
My steak was so tough and gristly that I gave 75% to our dogs.
No French mustard.
It's a shame as it's a pub that's local to us.

Ive just found our go to place for a meal, everything was lovely from the service to the food. Chips are the best I?ve had in a while piping hot and the sirloin was cooked to perfection. ?

Had a lovely meal, service and staff are so welcoming! And the chips are back! The same as I remember them in the 90?s. Great to see the place busy again, with a fresh, bright look!

Called there for food and a drink sat in the garden with our grandkids and all the tables and seats were broken with large nails sticking out and the play equipment was terrible there was a few children who was bullying the other kids one said it belonged to her and here family and didn't allow my granddaughter on so I presumed she lived there ...not very good ...the food was nice but very overpriced for what you got I won't be returning unless things change dramatically
