Food good, staff friendly, the building amazing. Only negative aspects cups dirty, tea pots need binning as discolured from the out side. On visiting the ladies no hand wash except in a large container. I informed staff on

We've been here a few times over the years but today wasnt great. We both ordered Haddock. Both were overcooked, dry and cotton wool like. Chips were decent, but could have been hotter. Peas were ok, but could be mushier. The restaurant is huge, and not overly busy, but we were put on table one, about as far away for a sea view as possible.I had a pot of tea. Served in a small steel pot that I barely got two cups from. Not enough to fill a mug, and lukewarm.Toilets were shabby. One cubicle missing a door! No soap dispensers, just a bottle of soap on the side. The place badly needs decorating, scuff marks all over the walls.I think next time we will stick to a seafront fish and chip shop. I hope the owners can sort this out.

It might be the world?s largest fish & chip shop but it seems to have the world?s smallest chip fryer. We were all stood waiting having already queued and placed takeaway orders watching freshly cooked chips being placed in the takeaway area only to be instantly taken by the plateful by other staff presumably preparing plated meals for the restaurant while multiple staff members in the takeaway section try and grab what little remains for backing up takeaway orders and having to stand and wait aimlessly with fish going cold only for it to continually happen. If we hadn?t already queued and paid we?d have gone elsewhere. I totally understand having to queue when busy but you could see there was plenty of fish ready to serve orders so why aren?t the chips? If this chaotic and inefficient system is normal then we won?t be returning again.

Fish and chips were excellent. However arrived over half an hour after cup of tea served and forty minutes after ordering at the bar ( not at the table). Served in a very busy and noisy area. Saw tables cleared(eventually) and crumbs just wiped onto the floor. General decor was ok but chairs etc worn and tired. Carpet definitely needs cleaning at least if not changing. Staff were pleasant enough but busy. Would eat the fish and chips again but as a takeaway not eat in.

Had a fantastic experience. We both had a seafood platter and a lovely server who was very enthusiastic about us choosing a pattie over a fishcake. All our service was top notch from the greeter to the plate clearer.Food was lush. Was described as a medium haddock but I had a whale on my plate! The dining hall is all chandelier opulence, with fantastic views out to sea.Would not hesitate to go back

Food was nice and the dinning area was clean and tidy. Staff were helpful and polite. My only complaint is the state of the restroom, the smell was disgusting toilet paper everywhere and floors wet through the stench of urine from a manky old mop in the corner was disgusting.

Stopped off here for some lunch during our holiday and not only was the fish and chips lovely but Chris who served us was fantastic! Amazing customer service from start to finish. Thanks Chris!

It's such a shame Papas have let this beautiful seaside attraction go to rack and ruin. It was beautifully refurbished a few years ago but since Papas bought the pier it has been allowed to fall into a state of dereliction once more. Profit for papas seems to take priority over everything else unfortunately.

Signs say only guidedogs allowed, plenty of people inside the chip shop with dogs (not guidedogs), this is very unhygienieic, Very very slow service from the two young ones behind the counter, Took nearly 30 mins for fish and chips, which were horrible, ended up throwing them in the bin, Won't be buying from here again, has gone downhill, They should not allow animals near where food is prepared, the owner should be ashamed, AVOID THIS PLACE

I am sorry i have given papas a 3 star normally it would have been 5 star all day long. Fish n chips came out cold and the chips looked like they had been cooked a while before we ordered them. We are not ppl that complain, you cannot have perfection 100% of the time, but please papas if you want to keep up your fabulous reputation try better. Can i say it will not deter us from coming again mainly because of the fabulous waiters there, 2 of them were very chatty and made us feel so welcome so well done all the staff at papas. We have been many times and will be there again soon.

Papas in Cleethorpes is the largest fish and chips restaurant in the world. Plus, it's unique because it's on the pier by the seaside. We didn't go for the usual favourites like Cod or Haddock. We tried Fish Pie and the Plaice. Fish Pie is delicious and comes with fresh salad, green peas, and chips. The Plaice was decent and came with chips. We also had starters, Calamari and Whitebait, which were tasty, too. We also tried Hull Pattie, which was interesting. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was great. They have takeaway and dine in. Outside seating on the decking is available.
