If you are wanting scraps I wouldn?t bother. The lady serving was lovely couldn?t fault her however the woman behind frying shouted when she asked her for scraps I agreed to wait ten mins as my granddaughter only eats scraps due to eating problems. While I was paying the lady frying was shaking her head and complaining about having to do scraps. Horrid service and my daughter felt so uncomfortable: don?t like frying food? Not the job for the woman then. First time and won?t be returning which is a shame.

We was recommended to eat here from a friend who lives locally. We visited Cleethorpes on 24th May 2025 and decided to come along. Luckily they found us a table as we didn?t think to book ahead. The staff were amazing and without doubt the best fish and chips we?ve ever had. We visit Cleethorpes a few times a year and will now always come here but will book in advance to make sure we can have a table. Will 100% recommend this place, you will not be disappointed. Thank you for finding us a seat and looking after us ??

Visited to day and can?t fault anything. Great service and staff are so friendly. Thank you for everything today. Fish chips and curry sauce were so tasty. Definitely will be back!

Parking: Went out for tea used a voucher we always get as part of a gift as soon as we ordered the meal it arrived straight away within a minute we both noticed the fish was smaller than usual and the batter was hard especially at the end like it had been left to keep warm ordered a coffee then realised no sugar so had to ask for it then had to ask for a spoon just felt rushed and they couldn?t be bothered with us didn?t even ask on way out if we enjoyed our meal would have ordered dessert and more drinks but changed our minds

Don?t go if they have a queue and ask for scraps as you get a stoney look and told no! For gods sake we live in a seaside/ fishing resort and they don?t do scraps! Are you really a chip shop!

Take away....Truly awful. Soggy chips and the fish had obviously been attending weight watchers they werent even that hot..Price an absolute rip off especially considering the quality.

Went for a takeaway. Waited for 15 / 20 minutes to receive a very small regular haddock. It appeared as though it was straight out of the frier and into the box dripping wet. The bread bun I ordered was burnt on the top, barely buttered and squashed. Sadly I couldn't eat the meal and will not return.

Prices gone UP,
Quality gone down. In only a matter of weeks. Assume it has new owners.
I was in the restaurant only two weeks ago...and the Quality was great Prices fair. Now both are rubbish ? ?
Gave it another go.
Quality was good this time. Went for £13 fish chip's bread and cordial.
Fish was spot on. Not enough chip's,
Only one slice of bread . Could no longer afford to have a canned beer ..
Tasted great but not value for money.
Will stick to Mark Lewis or Fiveways from now on.

Love coming here on my break, usually get a chip butty and I've always put ketchup on and it's been lovely, but now they've done away with the ketchup bottle and want to charge for little sachets, I really hope the revert back to the bottle

We haven't been to The Ocean Fish Bar for quite a while. The service and the food was excellent but I was astonished that peas, mushy or garden, where listed as extras!! Surely they go hand in hand with Fish and chips.

We have been coming here for several years, we normally have the senior special, this has now been stopped, we had the standard special, as a special the includes tea I would have thought this would have included coffee, this is now extra and peas are extra. To have the same food we are used to, the price has gone up by 30%. To me this is a ridiculous price increase. The place was no where as full as normal, is this down to the price increase as we will no longer be returning, we can no longer afford a £9 increase on two meals. I hope it works for you, but I believe you will loose a lot of customers.

Went here today for skate wings was very disappointed as we vist here alot first time had skate though smelt ammonia it look nice but didn't taste nice at all

Food has always been decent, as regular customers, disappointed to be told instead of having chips (which are included) we couldn?t have a scoop of peas extra instead as my dad doesn?t eat the chips. No cost difference, would have just been nice to have an extra touch of ?good customer service? but there wasn?t. Was told a manager was in and they wasn?t allowed to change the menu!
