Haven?t been for a while since the head chef Jamal was taken ill. Just again reminded on why this is the number one curry house. Faultless, service awesome, and Jamal gets it perfectly to how you asked. Can?t be surpassed really.

The worst curry Ive had in years, absolutely no authentic Indian taste, my chicken achari tasted more like sweet and sour chicken, the other 3 x mains were even worse. Staff had zero interest.

I went here with my friends as visitors to the town and based off my experience I would never go again. The waiter was quite abrupt and lacked manners. However he appeared to be the only one on the restaurant floor so that may be the cause for his rudeness. I was forced to order a main instead of being able to only get a side and starter as I wished. I ordered the vegetable biryani and I was immediately disappointed. It lacked any sort of flavour, seasonings or spice and came with a terribly fried egg on top. The Dhal it came with just as bland and clearly made with frozen vegetables. It was not authentic Asian food at all, I had one mouthful and couldn?t force myself to eat the rest. When I expressed this to the waiter he spoke to the chef and returned saying the chef can only add so much salt to food. The bill was quite expensive so I?d expect a lot more in terms of quality of food and service.

To be honest the hospitality was very bad. I have some pictures how we were treated in the restaurant. It was our first time visiting new place hoping to have good weekend off but at the end of the day they just ruined our dinner night. The waiter even doesnot dare to put the cutlery in a clean place. It was really disgusting. I prefer everyone not to go.

We visited Jamals 2/8/2024. I had my usual lamb pathia. I always have this here. Jamals pathia is (quite literally) the best I've ever had. The sauce is lovely.. sweet but with a little heat, full of flavour. And the lamb is plentiful and very tender, Breaks easily with a fork. This is rare. I don't order lamb in any other Indian restaurant as it is never this tender. The garlic and coriander naan was exactly how I like it. My partner had king prawn chilli and garlic. This had large succulent prawns and a generous amount of them. I highly recommend Jamals. 5 star. ( Helen and Ronnie )

We think this is the nicest Indian in Cleethorpes. Pleasant waiters, freshly cooked food, lovely mushroom rice, and naan breads. Chicken soft and succulent, curries nice and tasy.

What a little gem. We had not visited Jamal's before and one question we asked ourselves WHY? Excellent food , good service and a pleasant atmosphere. If your looking for "fast Food" then this is not for you, If you want quality food properly cooked and served with care the you're in the right place. This may have been our first visit, but will not be our last, we have found our new best Indian food outlet.
