I cannot praise this hotel enough. Everything is first class. The rooms, the staff, everything. Ignore the one-star naysayers who feel that if they have to write anything, then they acquire their two minutes of spite writing soething bad. We have booksd for December, it will be our fourth stay this year.David Bret WGA.

This hotel was supposed to be a 2 nights retreat and time away for the Wife and myself after a very challenging few months. The Wife recommended it having a family birthday meal here in the resturant a few years back. Which was at a very high enjoyable standard. I phoned the Dovedale Hotel before arriving to book a table to have a evening meal to be told the resturant side of things for evening meals have been stopped 2 years ago. When we arrived to the very small car park behind the hotel. Do beware of this as you can be blocked in by other vehicles parking in the bays behind you, nowhere to park on front of Dovedale Hotel as the hotel is situated on a small narrow side street. Reception was to a okay standard. When checked in the hall entrance was to a very outdated standared. The standard double room we stayed in was to a very bland standard, not very welcoming for £115 per night. The bathroom shower was full of black mould, rust, hairs, dents and chunks out of wall and years and years of dust & grime in slots of radiator. We left the room and spoke with reception not being happy and with the lack of resolvement of the issue asked for a full refund. The guy on Reception agreed the room was not upto par from the photos i had taken and showed him. He then informed me he would get the manager to ring me in the morning and checked us out. I rang the Manager the next day who highly lacked on managering skills. Refused to give me full refund after agreeing the shower was, his exact words dilapidated state! I asked if i could speak to owner, "They live in Spain" he replied, "i cannot give you their email address as it their personal information, Email me with your issue and i forward it to them!" Okay give them my phone number to ring me, "they will not ring you" ? Think this so called Manager thinks Customers where born yesterday! Even for a standard double room the price was well over priced for, the manager words "dilapidated state"!!!!

What can I say one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in ,carpets are filthy beds are unclean towels have seen better days and the bat and bathroom are so dirty ,blind on window is broke and it smelt vile all I can say is avoid.

The service is beautiful, the best drinks in all of the area. Very kind service. The room nice and clean, you have everything that you need. The staff is really friendly.I totally recommend to stay in this hotel ?

This is our 2nd stay here & my experience has been nothing but excellent service. It takes less than 5 mins to hit the beach & you're spoilt for choice food wise.

Fantastic hotel ,very close to the beach , the rooms are clean and comfortable with tea and coffee facilities. Had breakfast each morning which was delicious, good range of things to choose from . Excellent waitress who took our orders each morning.Would highly recommend it and will definitely be back again in the Summer.

I stayed at this hotel whilst doing work at Humberston School in 2004 when Julie and Gary Rockhill ran the hotel (They may still do so?) The accommodation was excellent, the rooms spacious and clean. No flat screen TV's then though! I was lucky that my agency paid for the room through the school holidays, and I was able to take my sons to Mablethorpe, Manby, Lincoln, , RAF Coningsbury (1 st deployment of Typoons- Eurofighter) Battle of Britain Flight, Model railway etc. Plus, the Winter Gardens, the Blues club, Great little location.

We had a great stay. Catered for my need of gluten free, and I asked for a not slip bath mat and they went out a purchased a new one. Staff were great and breakfast excellent. Our room was comfortable and my wife and I slept very well.

Just got home from a lovely stay, rooms where so modern fresh and clean, cleaned the day after the first night too, only stayed the two nights. Sky tv and everything you?d expect, can I just say how lovely and amazing sam on reception was, he?s a true credit to your company. 5 stars all round and I?ll definitely be returning, thank you ?
