Exceptionally busy and popular place, especially at weekends and it is a good idea to book ahead if you can.

Went for afternoon dinner with a friend. We sat at the back with our two dogs on the sofa?s which my friend had reserved, where they provided our dogs with a bowl of water. The usual ?welcome? sausage for the dogs was reduced to one, and there was nothing to buy my hungry boy dog from the menu, like a sausage roll. After some persuasion they did bring us out a second. They welcomed us, the waitress that served the busy cafe alone, and the Chef even came out after a while. They were friendly, creating a nice atmosphere. The Chef, I got to see in her kitchen looked hygienic. The menu cards had everything on, including the prices for the cakes. The food was a bit expensive. We had tea to drink that came in a fancy bone china teapot with bone china mugs. I had a burger, my friend had a sandwich. The burger meat was nice, no chewy bits, the salad in it fresh, and the chips properly cooked. However, the bread put me off returning. Whilst it was fresh, it was so dense and hard to chew, I did literally end up with jaw ache later that day. Hot food there wasn?t a lot of choices that didn?t involve this chewy bread. So on the whole, nice experience, but as I go out for meals, then I doubt I will be returning anytime soon, as I live near the town so I have coffee at my own house.

This cafe has real old-world charm but most importantly good, well cooked food. The is good but they are busy and everything is cooked fresh so do take that into account. Well worth a visit

I went onto the Ginger Fox for lunch last week. Food and service was OK. Unfortunately the place was full of people with dogs! No place for dogs around food in my opinion. I won't be going back!

A pleasant looking little cafe, it was fairly busy and the waitress was on her own, so not easy for her to cope, but she managed with a smile and not was too much trouble. The food was OK, a bit overpriced we thought. There was a nice selection of cakes, not priced though, so we gave them a miss.Hopefully the cook has a better standard of hygiene in the kitchen than she left the bathroom in and that put me off returning.

My sister introduced my wife and I to this lovely little gem cafe, small breakfast beautifully presented and cooked, we will definitely revisit on our next trip up north from west Sussex.
