Beautiful little cafe, food was lovely just knocked one star as the napkin they put under my toastie melted into the cheese, was easy to pick out
Staff seemed overwhelmed with a busy day, I completely understand as I work in a cafe myself (still polite and friendly)
Anytime I?m in Boston and have time for a coffee this will be my new stop ??
I had a plain cheese toastie, a mocha, my dad had a cappuccino and full English, it came to £24.80, we found the pricing reasonable

Grumpy staff, mass produced cakes, over priced coffee. Location perfect, could be a lovely spot.

Seventh heaven? Hard to believe as the staff seem like they're in hell. From the get go, the older gentleman who works here (presumably the owner) had a very dry and uninviting attitude. Our mere presence seemed unwelcomed.
Two waitresses brought our food out. One of them who had blonde hair was very friendly and asked if we needed anything else, sauces etc. The second waitress who brought the rest of out order out a minute later practically threw the plate down with harldy a word spoken and that was that.
The food was slighly underwhelming for the price but OK. It came out quicly and it was hot and tasty. They managed to get one part right.
The establishment itself is well presented and clean.
Unfortunately in my eyes, customer service plays a huge role in my experience and that seemed to be lacking in this café. The man who I will assume is the owner seems to have a massive chip on his shoulder, this drags down the general experience of the place.

This is a absolute gem of a place.
Along with the church this is the highlight of the town centre.

Our first visit to Boston. This cafe served very fresh prawn baguette (warm & packed full) with a lovely crisp side salad. The Lavatazz coffee was very well made indeed.

Absolutely terrible. A lady on a table near mentioned that she might have got my order by mistake but she still sat there and ate it. When mentioned to the man behind the counter he didn't do anything about it. Certainly won't be going back to treated without respect.

Fantastic place! I live in Boston so have been trying each coffee shop for lunch. I don't review them but I'm making an exception here. (Written 27 January 2025)
While waiting for my lunch I decided to read the reviews for this place. To my surprise I saw 9 negative single star reviews, all within the last month.
Which is really weird because I was here one month ago, 2 January, and it was closed, with a sign saying it would not be open for several weeks. So quite how these reviewers were able to get service from a closed establishment is a mystery to me. These negative reviews feel calculated. Like review bombing. Pity.
The staff were softly spoken, mild mannered, friendly, chatting to the regulars. It was a positive uplifting experience on a cold morning. The Ploughman's lunch was nice. I saw none of the negativity alluded to by others.

Terrible experience!!
staff was un professional, very rude, and seemed annoyed throughout my visit with my friends. When we tried to complain to who was in charge, he didn't care about our satisfaction. I will not return again and will not recommend it to anyone looking for respectful service.

SHAME
This place has no idea how to treat customers and shouldn?t even be open until the staff learn some respect and proper service. I wouldn?t recommend this place to anyone.
