I am usually very pleased to leave good reviews for places I visit but on this occasion I'm forced to do just the opposite. If it had been possible to remove this one star I would have done that! Integrity counts for nothing.

I purchased an Elaine cooler advertised on the price label as an air conditioner for £30 and an iPad 5th generation. Both were bought as part of a deal and the manager put it down on the receipt as the cooler was free even though it was a discount on the iPad in reality. The iPad had no issues with but the air conditioner is a cooler and a cooler that does not cool air at all whether filled with ice cold water and ice or not. Thermometer placed in front of vents for an hour and no change on the dial at all. Very disappointed with response from store which was just bring it back and we'll test it. I explained I was told it had been fully tested before leaving the store. When I told him it was a distance to get to the store he just quoted policy and told me he had staff who drove from pinchbeck and it didn't cost him much to get to work. He also told me best case would be £30 refund but would no cover anything else for the inconvenience. I fully understand that you return faulty goods to stores but had I not been told it was fully tested and working on purchase I would not have made the purchase. My biggest disappointment is the attitude of the staff member who just quoted policy to me and wouldn't make any effort to find an amicable solution. I then phoned the head office and spoke to a lovely lady who put in a complaint to the franchisees. My solution would be to allow an extension on the purchase date as per receipt to avoid an extra journey to the store. Overwise i'm Spending fuel driving a 30 mile round trip 2 hours of my time and parking costs to wait for them to test the product and then if they decide it is faulty which I'm betting they won't and I will have wasted even more of my time and money for nothing. I hope the franchisee can come back with a better solution than the staff member with an attitude. Should the store come back to me with a better attitude and a solution to the issue I will possibly change my review with an extra star but for now beware of this store selling you items they say they have fully tested. Mine was and doesn't work as advertised. They don't seem to like it when you find the product they sold you does not work and have a terrible attitude to customer service. There was a simple solution to the issue but they didn't seem to have any interest in providing an after sales service. Policy was their defence and they immediately used this defence instead of exploring a better way. I will not be returning to the store to purchase anything ever again.
