Very goid, amazing even during the pandemic.

LJ Homecare looked after my mum during her last year of life. She struck up strong relationships with all her carers and the family have always been incredibly grateful to LJ Homecare for giving my mum the daily care, companionship and routine that we were unable to give. It was important to my mum to stay at home despite her difficulties and this wouldn?t have been possible without the lovely ladies of LJ Homecare.

I contacted this company a while ago and the Lady over the email was quite short with me and basically said they had no capacity to offer any service to our location , which was only a few miles away. A couple of weeks later my wife chased it up and talked to a lovely lady who was very helpful at the same company! She then organised a day to come round to see my Dad for assessment. They never turned up on the day so we called them up to find out what had happened. They said that they did not have the capacity to offer any service. Absolutely ridiculously rude and extremely unhelpful. They didn't even have the decency to call and cancel the appointment. Obviously too embarrassed to explain their reasons over the phone. This was two weeks before we needed them so they left us stranded looking for care for my Dad. The management are awful. Thank god we never gave then any responsibility to look after my Dad. Whats even more painful is the leaflet was handed to us by the local care coordinator, which just says it all about the state of the care system in the UK

This Company lacks managment communication with its staff, the manager is rude and fails to understand the meaning of the word compassion. Carers failed to turn up to calls and no contact from the managment to inform as to why. very disappointed in this company, the only good thing was just a few of the carers who were so lovely but very over worked. The company sent a carer who had not even had moving and handling training, this is a big no no within this profession as they are dealing with vunrable people who need assistence with transferring from chair to bed etc. I have given one star but that is for the carers not the managment
