Whilst staying in chapel we couldn?t find anywhere with a nice atmosphere or good food until we went here.
This place made our holiday, the atmosphere was brilliant, the food fantastic and the landlady (sorry if that?s the wrong term) was lovely.
Village pub atmosphere with a fantastic modern element. Would love this to be my local if we didn?t live miles away.

I had a lovely Sunday roast, not to long ago here. Plenty of food, all fresh and tasted great. A bit of music in the background would of made it even better- I would come back.

This is the perfect example of using Google reviews to find somewhere when you are travelling ? we were in mablethorpe and wanted to have a family Sunday lunch to save us cooking in the holiday cottage, booked for 5 adults and 2 kids and when we turned up the table was ready and we all sat and ordered . The staff were amazing and the food was top notch ( plenty of veg and 2 jugs of gravy) and we all had desserts which were like having a Sunday pudding your gran used to make mmmm
All in all I couldn't fault anything about the experience (worth the 30 min drive) if you are in the area it's worth the drive out ?
N.B usually take loads of photos but the food was too good to leave for a photoshoot ? but as all 7 of use didn't leave a thing empty plates are the highest accolade ?

Had a fantastic meal, hubby definitely recommends the steak pie but the best bit was how friendly the landlady was and making our K9 boys so welcome. Thank you so much and see you again very soon x

"Visited for Sunday lunch and had the vegan/vegetarian roast dinner ? absolutely delicious! I booked ahead and The chef had even made a vegan Yorkshire pudding just for me. Great flavors, good portions, so good to be able to get a vegan roast.

We weren?t expecting much from a little pub in a little village but the staff were friendly and the food was amazing. The scampi was well cooked and the side salad was fresh and interesting, the hunters chicken was described as the best my husband had ever had.

Had Sunday lunch here, really dissapointed, overpriced and not tasty at all. One slice of beef, small yorkshire pudding 2 roast potatoes and the bowl if veg for 3 to share was horrendous. The lamb shank looked and tasted like it was a supermarket product. Gone food gone downhill since new owners. I wont be going again. High price poor quality. 3 dinners 3 drinks 55 quid. Shocking. It wasnt as if tgey were packed either.

Good selection of homemade vegetarian/vegan options,tasty and filling. It's great to see food prepared from scratch. Chef came out to advise on suitability for our dietary requirements, which was greatly appreciated

Lovely staff and pub but awful food. Mostly microwaved and portion sizes got mixed up so some of our party had small portions. Only when we brought this to staff attention did they apologise and said they provided the wrong portion size. Offered Chips for free but insisted we have a reduced bill that they agreed to. The burgers had a lump of half melted chedder on them and the beef stew was like hard grit. Really hate to leave such a bad review. Go there for drinks but not the food!

We came across this wonderful pub by accident as the one we had chosen weren't doing food on the night and that was very fortunate. The welcome was lovely and as we had our dog with us we really settled in with the owners but the highlight was the food which was absolutely divine and I would highly recommend if you want an amazing meal.
