Thought i would take the family out for a nice meal as a treat. Food was excellent service was great staff are friendly and very helpful. They were really good with the kids. The only issue i had was 3 months later i get a letter from a debt collector saying i owe £170 for a parking fine i didnt know anything about for unaurtherized parking. I didnt see any signs when entering the car park

Sorry to give you one star but I'm raging
We visited for my dads birthday 2 weeks ago. The staff were very accommodating....I would have definitely recommended this Greene King as we had a nice evening and the food was very tasty. However I came home from work yesterday and have a £100 fine (dropped to £60 if paid on time) for parking in the pub car park. I was completely unaware that parking had to be paid for. I have eaten at countless Greene King pubs over the years and never had to pay for parking before. I suspect their argument would be that there are signs in the car park but this is the pub car park, it's 6.30pm on a Sunday evening and it's dark outside I wasn't looking for parking signs.......IT'S THE PUB CAR PARK!!!!!!!!!!.
The pub was empty I think we may have been the only people in there at that time there were 8 of us in total and not one of us noticed any signs inside or on the table that mentioned signing your car in.....ON ENTERING THE PUB IT WAS NOT OBVIOUS!!!
My dad (the birthday boy) drove from Loughborough so he will get a fine as well. Coming to your pub for an evening out has cost us £100's in fines.
I used to live in Wigston and I still regularly shop in Wigston and I am well aware that parking is not free for shoppers....but we were eating in your pub!!!!!

My husband and I met our friends for Sunday lunch a couple of weeks back. Great food and atmosphere and the service was second to none. Nick was amazing and a really great asset to your company. He was just a naturally friendly guy. Nothing was too much for him. when we asked if the pub is dog friendly he told us what tables were dog friendly and just to let the staff know when we book. I also want to say Amethyst Charlotte+ Sim were brilliant too. Just one thing to mention though you have a step in the pub from the eating area to the bar and I didn't see it and stumbled down it. Luckily I didn't fall but I do think it could do with some yellow tape across it just as a warning so no one does fall down. Everything else is perfect! Thanks guys See you soon.
