The Wigston branch offers no car park but a local car park behind the shop. Which means if you shopped a large trolley amount, which we did (filled with drinks and frozen food), we were told they cannot assist you by taking your trolley through their warehouse to the back loading entrance, to save you walking and pushing the trolley up a steep slope in side narrow public pathway, around the sides and around or down to the car park. Whilst passing the public who use this pathway to get to other shops and car parks. The pathway can get very busy. There is no insurance that if you get mugged / theft from your shopping trolley and how to defend yourself. The risk is greater than Farmfoods store have calculated.
The anxiety builds up just thinking of your planned path to your car!
If it?s just a basket /bag amount I suppose you?re okay.
Why did we go if we knew this? Well, we did not. Our first trip to Wigston Farmfoods the staff did allow our trolley to go through their warehouse so it saved time, reduced potential risks to us, it got us safer to carpark without pushing a heavy trolley around through the public pathway etc.
Will we do this again. Big fat NO!
For this reason, we will not relive this anxiety and potential trauma, again. And not shop at Farmfood Wigston Leicester. With two members of staff on site, it was ridiculous to expect a quick and efficient shopping experience. Although the staff were polite and friendly, they appeared overwhelmed at times.
If it means we have to travel 45mins to the next store to have safer and better psychological protection by having access to car park next the store we will plan this. Or mostly likely to shop elsewhere.
Conclusion
Avoid Wigston Farmfoods if you have heavy trolley full.

I purchased some frozen diced lamb, last week, from Horeston Grange shop, I decided to cook it in my slow cooker.
Ten % was lumps of pure fat when I thawed it out, which I removed.
By teatime I was looking forward to it but to my dismay the lamb was horribly tough and inedible.
Fortunately I have a dog who?s going to do well out of it for the rest of the week!

This is very small farm foods with limited options. This is the first one I?ve been to and I was expecting more but they didn?t have most of the things I was looking for that are shown on the emails they send.

Great place to go to pack freezer with meat. Can do a high protein diet on the cheap as well as finding other great offers.
Shocked that this place is not so popular all well known.
