This garden centre has a bit of everything, even next door there is a really nice fish shop that you can visit. We have not tried the cafe but when we walked past it was super busy so must be a good sign

My husband had ham and chips, as he is allergic to eggs, they happily substituted the eggs for beans, my husband thoroughly enjoyed his meal, especially the ham. I had the quiche which again was lovely.

The food is so expensive for what you get, if they have what's on the menu that is. Also it was tepid at best. Small portions, big profits. I feel that I was mugged off. It's a shame because this was my go to for meeting family or a quick lunch. Definitely won't be returning.

Walked out after queuing for 20 minutes. No urgency about serving at all ! I?m surprised you take any money at the pace the servers were going at left and went elsewhere !

The 1911 is a simple coffee shop style restaurant with a good menu that changes gently throughout the day.. Breakfast First followed by lunch then a light afternoon tea. The menu is simple bit good and allows the kitchen to serve up some fantastic looking and tasting food. We went in for a sandwich at lunchtime and ended up.ordering the Vege lasagne. Full of well cooked but not mushed vegetable with a good sauce and texture. Served with a chunk of garlic bread and side salad. Each item was spot on as indeed was the added portion of triple cooked chips (really not needed but who can turn them down). Latte and teas where good and we got change from £30 for food and drinks.

Great cafe. Arrived with 8 adults and 4 children and the staff immediately helped arrange a few tables to accommodate us, which made us feel very welcome and able to enjoy being together for a lunch out. Mediterranean risotto is absolutely delicious! Service very good. Will be visiting again.

Service took too long, and the jacket potatoes were undercooked but also tasted like they were a few days old, salad was wilted and the cheese sweaty. Very disappointing after such a long wait.

Palmers is now gearing up to Christmas with many decorations and pretty lights. We had a meal in the Cafe which was lovely. Would recommend.Have now visited in the spring and the whole place is colourful and aromatic with the scent of spring blossoms.Enjoyed a home made sausage roll with herbs and sweet potato fries.Have returned at the beginning of summer and this garden centre has cleverly arranged their most fragrant plants at the entrance. And the vibrant colours are spectacular!Lots of plants and also gifts inside and a pet shop. We bought some Niger seed as the goldfinches brought the whole family and so we have consequantly ran out!Great service in the cafe where we enjoyed our free pot of tea as part of their menbers club welcome.
