Beautiful setting outside on a sunny day with the most gorgeous view. Staff always friendly and so are the locals there. Prices for food is reasonable and 2 for £20 fish and chips is a bargain lunch. Really nice place to chill, relax and have a good catch up. Highly recommend.

There are very few vegetarian options on the menu.
I didn't want to eat chips, veggie sausage and peas/ beans that I can eat for nothing at home
£12 is a lot to pay for a basic meal.
I opted for a mature cheese salad roll with chips and coleslaw.
It came.
I wasn't offered a choice of fillings as stated on the menu.
It contained 4 triangular pieces of what looked like Kraft Cheese slices
A green garden salad mix
and one slice of a Beef tomato
Which isn't even a salad ingredient.
And an egg cup sized portion of coleslaw.
No cucumber, onion or butter on the roll
which was rock hard!
I'd cut it half anyway
But only had about 3 bites out of one half.
It was rock hard and I was concerned about my teeth!
Inedible.
I do need to add that the rest of my family enjoyed their meat meals.
Your vegetarian options are awful.

I booked the skittles room for my 50 th birthday. I rang a week before to pre order my food. I wasn't sure about one order as her husband is ill. I was told at the time don't worry if she doesn't turn up they could sell lasagne in the pub as it was a regular meal choice. I was still charged for this meal as they said they made it and threw it in the bin. It's not the money. it's the principle of being called a liar. I will never return and make sure I let the other 23 that I invited and paid for I was over charged.

Vegetarian food not the best I have eaten. Chips we received were very pale in colour with skins on. No taste. Not like the photos on the website showing lovely crispy chips.

Lovely afternoon tea. Beautiful fresh sandwiches, nice selection of cakes and scones with clotted cream and jam. Quaint china crockery and proper tea. Lovely pub with great views over the countryside
