Table service is nice in a pub - very friendly & helpful. Food was good & nice to choose veg in place of salad.
We had 2 courses.
It was busy for a Wed lunchtime. There was a very chatty atmosphere. However, as oldies, we found we had to work hard to hear each other at some points.

Been dining here for about 18 years on a fairly regular basis.
Food never disappoints and service is always consistently good. I think we qualify to say you?ll struggle to find a better Sunday lunch anywhere.

Lived up to its usual high standards. All the tables were full but the owners and staff made every effort to serve us quickly as we were on a bit of a timeline.

Sadly one of the worst meals we've had . Ordered a beef lasagne which was nothing more than a few sheets of pasta in bechemel sauce, no taste, no consistency, no tomato, no taste, very little beef. To top it off we ordered a side of 'chips' instead of the salad....we received frozen supermarket french fries....absolutly awful.
The staff were friendly and accomodating but that doesn't offset the 'slop' that was received. We've lived in Italy to know what a lasagne should be, this certainly wasn't.
I guage places on 'will I return here ', most certainly not.

Went here with my family and dog and had a thoroughly lovely evening in snug area. Food was fantastic, staff were lovely and very professional. Would definitely go again.

Lovely location. Very nicely appointed licenced saloon.I found the cuts of beef in my steak pie to be very tender and succulent. Selection of ales very good too.
