We called at just before 8 to see if an absolute last minute Saturday night food booking for 3 could be made, the lad who answered said if we could make it before quarter past they'd see what they could do for us. We arrived at the gorgeous looking pub just in time, and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. A table had been saved for us so we ordered 2 gammon and 1 mixed grill. The meals were HUGE! Not to mention absolutely delicious with the best onion rings we've ever had. The atmosphere was wonderful, the beer fantastic and the staff an absolute credit to the establishment. I'm just upset I live 3 hours away so I can't pop back!

Lovely little pub. Becky on the bar always greets us with a smile and spot on banter. It?s great to see such a friendly face.

Just popped in for a pint and sat outside as it was a lovely day! Nice pub, friendly staff, beer was good, and quite a few locals, which is always a good sign.

The food has been a little hit & miss but the service from Rebecca is always excellent.

Incredible scotch eggs but selection of beer disappointing. Friendly staff. Beer garden and inside has a nice feel.

We brought people from Barcelona to experience the true pub experience, and because the place is so lovely, they just loved it. We always go there as we live near Thurnby Lodge. Love the place and the food, and the pub owners are great people and very friendly.

booked a table yesterday we ate here just over a year ago and returned to see if the food was as good as before and it did not disappoint at all one of the best burgers I have had and the wife really enjoyed her hunters chicken on slight criticism is the bacon was slightly over cooked for my liking but still one of the best burgers I have tried

Been here just twice, only had a meal once as other time was for a wake. The food was nice but menu was small. I like more choice although the menu has apparently changed since I ate here. Its worth a try, it's a nice small pub and friendly enough.

Very welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble with my food allergy. We had Sunday roast which was delicious and plentiful and after a short break we found room for dessert. Will definitely visit again when in the area.
