Had a lovely meal today, tried the king prawn tai curry and mum had fish and chips . The curry was amazing and mums said her fish a chips were delicious ? I did have a little moan about only getting a quarter of a nan bread and they bought me a bit more. Really enjoyed it

Loved what the new owners have done with the bar area, it is much bigger now and there are more dining tables, the food and service are excellent.

Generous portions! Triple cooked hand cooked chips fantastic, crispy battered fish excellent, home made tartar sauce & Carribean Pork Rib Rack incredibly tender. All reasonably priced. Good selection of beers & wines too. Our servers, Joe & Hollie, were polite friendly and welcoming. We will definitely go again.

Lovely meal with the family. Superb food and generous portions. A little slow on the service and deserts came out a bit disjointed they should have all come out together, but there was a delay between each coming out.
Can't fault the food though and the staff where kind and friendly would definitely recommend also happy accommodate fussy eaters

This pub was an unexpected find that was above expectations.
The staff were friendly and the food was great.
I think it's run by an Indian who makes some unique but very fresh, unusual food.

so pleased ro see the malt shovel reopened. went last night with 3 friends and we all had the most beautiful meals! as a veggie often choice is limited but not here!! the paneer was so tasty! the service was fast. friendly and staff were genuinely interested in our experience. we will definitely be back!!

food and drinks are good but so expensive. slightly awkward vibe when it is not busy as some staff members sit on the benches near the entrance and have a gossip (once heard them complaining about other staff from all the way across the patio!). busy pubs can get away with charging a ton, but paying £6 for a pint of cider on tap in an empty pub maybe demonstrates why half of the staff have nothing to do.

Food was delicious and there was lots of choice. Atmosphere was very cosy. Staff are extremely friendly. We will be returning.

We went in for a Sunday dinner for 5 people and it was absolutely awful. For 5 Sunday dinners it cost £100 and no one could eat any of it. The chicken was uneatable you could not get a knife and fork into it we had 3 of them dinners and all of them were atrocious. The gammon dinner was full of fat there was no gammon just pure uncooked fat . The veg on the plate was raw and hard , we came to the owner to complain about the chicken dinners and he even struggled to cut it trying to prove us wrong . We?ve ended up all getting food poisoning and have ended up in hobby horse after for a pudding cause you need to take out a second mortgage to afford one . The only good thing from the day was that the waiter was freindly and gave us a refund for two of the dinners . Would NOT recommend!!!!
