I recently stayed at this hotel while attending the Back 2 Festival, as it was conveniently located just 10 minutes away. The stay offered excellent value for money ? we paid only £50 each, including breakfast. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout our visit.
We had lunch at the hotel, and the portions were generous, tasty, and reasonably priced. The room itself was basic and a little dated, but it was clean and perfectly fine for a night?s rest. My only concerns were that it became uncomfortably warm overnight, and I noticed the towels prepared for departing guests were left on the floor outside the rooms ? which made me question their cleanliness.
Breakfast was tasty, with generous portions once again. There?s plenty of car parking available, and despite being located right next to a road, it was quiet throughout the night.
I would happily stay here again if I were in the area, and it would definitely be my first choice if I attend the festival again.

Clean, tidy and food was very nice. Only negative was there was a noise from the kitchen.

Very convenient location for Twycross zoo. Desk and breakfast staff were great. Room was fine, shame the clean linens are put on the floor while waiting for guests to check out, therefore meaning they aren?t clean??
Gluten free options for breakfast clear on menu but not obvious on dinner menu so went elsewhere.

Lovely hot food and plenty of it.
Great location for trip to Twycross zoo.

Great hotel, the oldy world decor adds to the charm of this place! Rooms were a good size with everything you need. Food was excellent!!! Would've happily paid a lot more for the quality they served. Breakfast was fantastic we will definitely be returning for what I've been told is an excellent Sunday lunch!!
Rooms: Slightly dated but perfectly functional!

Food and drinks: Great food although slightly over priced. £26 for a mixed grill is more than I'd normally like to pay but it did turn out to be probably the best mixed grill I've ever had. ?

Food here is spot on plus the rooms are pretty good too! Service is fantastic and I'll tell you why. It was a little cold one night so I took the duvet from the spare bed as an extra cover. When I returned the following evening I was surprised to see they had added a stand alone radiator to my room. I thought this was so considerate! The cleaners had obviously noticed the fact that there were two duvets on my bed and decided to give me a radiator to keep me warm. So thoughtful so thank you very much! 5 Stars ?????

Rooms are fairly basic, with no electrical sockets near to the bed. The toilet blocked on a daily basis and wouldn't flush.
On the plus side, the staff were really friendly and helpful and the food is excellent!

Stayed for dinner and for the night. Food was absolutely exceptional, great portions, extremely tasty and definitely worth the money. Service from the staff was fantastic and the atmosphere in the restaurant was great. Rooms were very nice and clean but, charger sockets next to the bed side tables would have been the cherry ontop for me. Overall great experience and would definitely come back.
