Chinese eatery with some seating (best to book). Predominantly a takeaway. Small car park at rear. Good service. Hit and miss dishes (v.good squid & yuk shung, good sweet n sour, terrible Thai green curry (weird thick sweet sauce), ok mixed veg). Good drink selections. Very reasonably priced. Feels like a restaurant past its heyday.

First time diner here and would certainly recommend.. Firstly, the staff most welcoming,, Good selection of beers/drinks..and the food,,,,excellent and the portions very good....will definitely be back..THANKS..

Firstly, this is TAKEAWAY only, so please ignore any reviews that claim to have eaten in their restaurant recently.
I?ve been using Yam Sing for over 30 years and I appreciate in that time it?s probably changed hands multiple times.
However I have to admit it has always provided excellent food.
Until recently? the last few takeaways have not been up to standard.
Last night I ordered several dishes for a family Friday takeaway. I asked for the roast duck to be crispy and keep the sauce separate.
For the first time we all didn?t finish our meal and threw a lot of it away.
The duck was NOT crispy. The Singapore noodles were clearly days old and had been reheated. You could taste they were off. We all had upset tummy?s afterwards.
Sadly this will be the last time I use Yam Sing which is very sad for Shepshed.

By looking at the menu I thought it?s just another British style Chinese food.
As I?m from Hong Kong, I didn?t have much expectation. I was here because of my half Hong Kong half British friend.
Not disappointed guess I should thank my friend. Will surely come again.
