We went for a meal on a Sunday dinnertime with no reservation. We were worried as my daughter, granddaughter and myself felt we were being looked up and down for quite a while before being showed to a table. And we were so glad we went there. Food was absolutely amazing and so was the service so I would highly recommend a visit to this place

I stayed here for two weeks and thought the place was excellent. The rooms are a good size and the bed is comfy, the shower was also really powerful which I really enjoy. One point to maybe take a look at is the windows in the doors, they maybe need a small curtain over them as the light was beaming in at around 4:30. The food is great and the staff are friendly and polite. Loved burger Monday! Maybe a bit more choice on the bar menu especially in summer when a lot of people sit outside.

Fantastic food & service. Staff are very polite & curteous. Food is freshly prepared & comes in good time.
We had the scallops (starter), seabass and the garlic & herb chicken breast (mains), with panna cotta & cherry bakewell cheesecake (dessert). Would recommend all those dishes.

We didn't stay here but had a family birthday Sunday dinner in the restaurant.
Amazing quality food and brilliant service we were made especially welcome and not hurried at all.

My wife and I visited The Horse, Shepshed, today, Saturday the 7th of June (2025). The food was outstanding,and the service was excellent. Well done to the team at The Horse.

Excellent M1 stop off. The pub has a variety of plates at different pricing. I had lamb, my husband had the burger. The chefs really know what they are doing. Brilliant presentation. Waitresses were too busy to interact .. perhaps understaffed on the day we visited. Overall 10/10

Lovely cosy pub on the main road south of Shepshed. A couple of cask ales plus the regular beers. An efficient team of friendly young staff keep the food and drinks flowing. Lots of outside seating and a reasonable sized car park.
Food is a little pricey but very nicey.
Can be busy on Sunday evening so book in advance.
