This was our second visit to the Inn and every bit as good as the first. Same room which was compact and has everything you need. Couple of minor issues this time with the room facilities which were promptly fixed by the staff.
Food is good with hearty portions. We opted for the cooked breakfast, ordered the night before, both times. Good range of options.
Staff are very friendly. There is a good atmosphere in the pub which is clearly at the heart of the community. Our visit coincided with the Sunday night quiz. We didn?t enter but it was fun trying to answer the questions, with limited success, under no pressure.
We chose the Inn as a base for visiting family in the area and will continue to do so.

We hosted a birthday party here, outside in the beer garden, from start to finish everything was excellent and well managed.
All the staff were smiley, friendly and happy to help.
The food was excellent, we had a range of the bar snack menu and all our guests commented on how tasty it was.
The fit out of the pub is excellent and everywhere is well maintained so overall a great place to spend an afternoon and host a party!

Beautiful restaurant in a gorgeous place, but my god was it expensive for what you got as a veggie/vegan. My boyfriend spent 20 quid on the only veggie/vegan main option and received an incredibly average tasting, pretty small portion of curry (and not in a fine dinning way of small portions of food). If they had more veggie/vegan options and made the prices for them or the sizes more comparable to that of the non-veggie options we saw being delivered to other people, then I would consider going back but as it currently stands I wouldn't recommend to any other veggie/vegans.

Had a very nice lunch with friends. Service was good and the food was great.
There was live music in the afternoon which was a nice touch.
The pub is nicely decorated in a traditional style.

Just a quick visit with family, the staff are lovely, the pizza was great and the beer was perfect. If I'm ever that way again I would gladly go back.

Dropped in on a Tuesday for lunch, had a very limited lunchtime menu which only included over priced sandwiches, and not a great selection of them.

I understand that restaurant margins are tight, but using powdered potato is wrong. And please don't tell me you don't use it. I've been a chef for 34 years, and I know powdered potato when I taste it. I knew it was before my brother started to eat it. The texture, the consistency, and the colour. But I confirmed it by trying it. My steak, for some reason, had what I thought was a pea puree, but it turned out to be a basil sauce of some sort. I'm really not sure why that was paired with a nice peppered mushroom sauce! The pea puree i thought it was would have been better. Maybe a pea and fennel puree, or pea and horseradish, a little hit of heat. The fillet steak was ok. Cooked well. But a basil puree with steak mushroom and pepper sauce don't work very well. Jess, our assistant, was great. Actually all the staff were great. Just rethink a few things. Out of all the food that came to the table, the burger got 1st place, fish and chips looked great, but I didn't try any, got second place, and the popcorn chicken got third place.
You were busy, so people like it, that's good for sure, was a nice atmosphere. Bit tight, moving around, so overall, I will give it 6.5/10
