fantastic food lovey place to eat

Walking the Hoby to Somerby section of the Leicester Round. Popped in here for some drinks and a rest midway through the stretch. Pub is very handily placed for this walk, only 5 mins off the Leicester Round route.
As we were sweaty and hot, we sat outside, lots of seating available in the beer garden.
We only ordered soft drinks but the staff were really friendly and chatty. They also very kindly filled up our water bottles.
We'll definitely be back to try the food offer.

We were off to Rutland Water the next day, so a perfect pub to stay for the night.
Room was clean and adequate. Staff really friendly and accommodating. Food was superb. Would not hesitate to return.

Sunday lunch was absolutely delicious, and ample portions. We received a lovely warm welcome and everyone was so helpful and cheerful. Nothing was too much trouble.
Will definitely be back.

Easily the best food in Leicestershire. Amazing location, loads of parking and a very friendly crowd too.
Highly recommend the Pork as a main course.

I came for Sunday lunch with my two sons on 6/4/25 .I can honestly say one of the best Sunday lunches I have had in a long time food was excellent and presentation was superb.will return again soon

I?ve been going to pie night for over ten years and go for special occasions say twice a year! First time under new management! 19-2-2025 gutted my steak pie had 3 bits of steak in it the size of a pound coin ! Absolutely rubbish ! Genuinely gutted I used to love going and having some lovely pies ! That?s the last time for me ! £14 don?t waste your time
