I asked them to fix a key ? a very quick task, basically a goodwill gesture. Of course, I was willing to pay something. They said that because the key wasn?t originally cut by them, they wouldn?t help. Naturally, they could cut a brand new key for £12. Greedy approach. Better to support small businesses with proper locksmiths who are willing to actually help others, not just exploit them.

I wasn't going to bother with a review until I saw the quote on their bag (see photo). 'Great service by great people' .. really?! Not in my experience. A few days ago I bought a trophy from the Oadby (Parade) branch and left it with him to engrave. He said that the engraving machine was broken but he would get it done, one way or another, by the following day. His demeanor didn't fill me with confidence. He took my mobile number to keep me updated. I arrived the following afternoon and it wasn't ready (a call would have been nice!). He promised it would be done by the following day. I called the following day 3 times and got no answer. Eventually I drove there at 3pm to find it had been done (again a phone call would have been good!). It hadn't been engraved as I'd requested (I wanted all capitals and it wasn't). He didn't seem at all bothered .. I could essentially like it or lump it!

I came into oadby shop last week to replace my dad's battery in his watch, left it with a young lad Aj I think his name was, returned a hour later to collect it and he told me he couldn't get it working and his watch was knackered I found this rather odd as never had a issue with it before but got the impression he couldn't be bothered and he certainly didn't seem bothered about helping me. Luckily I was at asda doing my shopping and seen Jay at the timpsons there just on his way home for the evening and I asked him if he'd be in the shop anytime soon and explained my situation and as always with Jay, fantastic customer service he told me to bring it in to have a look and surprise surprise within a couple of minutes the watch is working perfectly fine. Please can we have Jay and Lisa back regularly in the oadby shop as I know I'm not the only person that checks who's behind the counter before going in now as Jay and Lisa are the only ones that actually do there best for customers and go above and beyond always friendly and actually know what there doing! Only given the 5 ? due to Jay being awesome and saving my day.

Came in this afternoon with a somewhat bizarre request and was squared away super quick with something I didn't think would even be in by JC Santa's Big Helper. An absolute legend of a man!!!

went in to get a car key cut was amazing service when got there was helped by lisa and jay could complain left within 10-15 minutes all in all best shop iv gone to defiantly be going back!!!

Timpsons never open on time! Its?s 09.10 and the shop has just put the lights on and the shopkeeper has gone in to turn the alarms!
I came to collect my parcel, but the shopkeeper, ?needs to switch machine on and it?ll take 20min?
It would be professional if the shopkeeper was in the shop at 08.40, set up and be ready to great customers at 9am, the time they should be open.
Very annoyed!

Horrible customer service. they have an Evri service which i have come to use twice but never again. Firstly they never open at 9am, always late. the lady who works here has no sense of how to treat her customers. she closes and opens the shop whenever she likes, saying she is running errands ? I was at the door she slammed the door shut in my face saying she has bits and bobs to do outside of work. at 9am there is always a line of people waiting outside she only arrives at 9.20 and then makes the customers wait outside. its ridiculous. as another review stated this place is one BIG JOKE due to the employees attitude.

Literally broken my wife's Key and did not pay for it.Not experienced staff. I do not recommend you to go there unless you want to lose your time and money. He literarily went to watch a YouTube video on how to do it. LOL this place is a joke.
