I was very impressed with the food on Christmas Day.
It exceeded my expectations.
The main roast was very tasty and plentful.
So much so we took our forth course home.
The one negative was that the service was a little slow and more communication would have helped but it was understandable considering how hard it would be to get staff today.
However overall I was impressed and I would recommend it to anyone to come next year.

Since the refurbishment, the outdoor look is more inviting but inside has not changed much.
Few hanging plants? Tables cramped together.
Menu for non gluten containing has reduce to only 3 options for mains and 3 at lunch, really poor and no variety.
Main menu large as ever, too much to choose from.
Service was standard, no complaints.

The staff at this pub is incredibly friendly, and the food is simply amazing. They?ve recently undergone a renovation that has modernized the place and made it much more family-friendly.

Haven't been here in years, my brother booked us in for Christmas dinner and to be honest going on past experiences I wasn't expecting much. How wrong was I, the food was stunning and plentiful. All courses were quality from start to finish. Very impressive and I would highly recommend eating here. The staff were amazing to and a credit to the pub. We are already talking about eating here again and bringing the rest of the family. Keep up the great work

Poor service and no acknowledgement or ownership of wrongdoing
Food on the same table arrived 35 minutes later than the rest of the order. No apology. Management laughing and mocking the guests on the said table.

We booked breakfast with Santa, was greeted by lovely staff who showed us to our table. Explained everything re the visit where Santa was and that he would do some table visits. Staff were on hand to take some family pictures food was amazing. Didn?t feel rushed at all, staff were all so friendly with the little one.
Will deffo return soon was nice atmosphere and generally overall a nice breakfast with Santa. Hope they do it again next year

We used to visit Oadby Owl regularly between 2012-2015, around twice a month. However, as the food quality started to decline, we reduced our visits to just twice a year. After hearing about the recent revamp, we decided to give it another try, but unfortunately, it was not worth the money.
While the staff remain as friendly and helpful as ever (it?s not their fault), the food was a major letdown. Portions were extremely small, even when compared to the kids' portions or to others at our table. The quality was inconsistent ? some items were cooked nicely, but others were poorly prepared, like dry meat and overcooked eggs.
It's a shame to see a place that once had great food decline this much, even after a revamp. Sadly, we won?t be returning anytime soon.

Had a Sunday roast tasted nice but for fithteen pound for 3 small roast potatoes 2 thin slices of meat tiny bit of vegetable had to ask for my coliflower cheese glad I ordered a pudding but that was child size to went home hungry never again.
