Absolutely shocking experience at Leeja Place. This used to be a decent spot around 10 years ago, but whatever standards they had are completely gone.
Everything we ordered?from the meat dishes to the daal and paneer?tasted old, stale, and possibly even past its use-by date. The food was watery, bland, and completely lacked the richness and flavour you'd expect from Indian cuisine. Honestly, it felt like they were reheating leftovers from days ago.
Within hours of eating, I felt sick and extremely uncomfortable. It's clear they're either cutting corners, struggling financially, or just don?t care anymore. This place is not what it used to be, and I would seriously avoid it if you value your health and taste buds.
Not recommended. Avoid.

Awful water downed, tasteless mush. We used to love Leeja palace but what we have just had delivered is beyond belief. So many Indian restaurants within our delivery area are taking short cuts either employing terrible chefs to cut costs or watering down food, with no spice, l9ve and care being taken. Such a shame Leeja has gone the same way. No more takeaways for us.

The usual place we go has gone downhill. So we gave Leeja Plalace ago and wow..... we were not disappointed.
We have takeaway as it was Christmas Eve and the food was great. Each curry tasted different, not using the same base sauce, so refreshing ?

Ordered takeaway and was absolutely banging. Exactly how an Indian should be and with a great naan and some good pakoras. I had the chicken pathia which was a bit oily but still amazing.
Vegetarian options: Fair amount of paneer and vegetable on the menu.

Scammers.
Ordered food from them once on deliveroo. They marked the order as delivered without actually delivering the food. Refused to give a refund and deliveroo were no help.

I've tried this place a few times in the last 5 years as it's on my front door and everytime i say never again and same again this time.The worst curries in oadby in my opinion what they lack in flavour they the have in abundance in heat /spice.Inedible.

We tried this restaurant the first time and it was a big disappointment. Hygiene is 1/5, we had to clean our plates. The ceiling and the lights had spider webs, yuck!. All the food tasted the SAME!!, and the portions were not even filling for kids. The waiter was very very rude.I would not recommend anyone this restaurant.

AVOID! Food hygiene has dropped to 1/5 and so has their customer service. Ordered online on their website and it took nearly 2 hours to arrive. I contacted them to cancel this order and refund me. The order was cancelled their end and I was told a manager will call me to sort out the refund. Nobody called me back and upon speaking to them today the manager said he will not be refunding the money and when I asked for his name he said it was 'boss'. Just shows what a joke of an establishment this actually is. Again please avoid and save your money. I'm lucky I've paid on credit card and can claim this back through my bank!

Takeaway meal - starters very good, main course terrible, chicken tikka was tough and chewy, sauces not as described on the menu. Threw it all away. Shame because our last meal from here was brilliant. Perhaps the chef had an off day but all of the family had sickness during the night.

Ordered takeaway as we had one a couple of months ago and it was okay. Poppadoms and pickles were fine, starter?s okay but bland. Unfortunately the mains were disgusting - none of the ingredients that were supposed to be added, nasty tough chicken in all dishes, we threw most of it away but we all had a bad night with indigestion and sickness. Shame,but we won?t b returning.

I last came here when my friend was over and he had loved it so much he wanted to come back! he is gluten wheat and dairy intolerant but there was still so much choice as to what he could have. the food was delicious....kept eating it although I was full it was so nice. Very friendly and attentive staff. i am sure to be back when my friend returns. Truly a great treat out.Dietary restrictions: Good choice for gluten dairy and wheat free options
