Wow, shocked by the negative experiences of others, and the low star rating. Disagree. A very convenient chemist which is open until 8pm at night! It's so convenient to do a late evening shopping trip (without all the busybodies and crowds getting in the way) - and to be able to pick up my medicine whilst I am doing that.
I also once accidentally got switched to the Boots down the road, because they asked if I wanted to be 'nominated' for my medicine, which I didn't understand what that meant, so I just said yes. At that particular Boots store, they almost put it across as, something that would help me get my prescription faster. I didn't realise I was agreeing to permanently switch chemist.
It didn't take long before I switched back to ASDA again. I have ADD, so I need access to my ADD medication without interruption. When the news hit that, ADD medicine was having supply issues, ASDA have no troubles supplying me with that medicine. As soon as I was auto-switched to Boots, Boots kept kept saying there was no medicine, they couldn't get it, giving me IOU slips which I could then never redeem. Literally as soon as I switched back to ASDA pharmacy, I could get me medicine again, as if by magic (even though the short supply of the meds was continuing in the UK)
Yeah, okay I see other comments talking about, how they expect you to remember WHEN you ordered your medication - when actually, no, most of us just remember when to pick it up. Okay guys, fair comment but these very nice ladies are super busy, and it's just one little extra that they ask for. If you can remember literally one extra thing every few weeks to help these guys out, then you're golden. If you can't do that, well, maybe you have bigger issues
So what do you get in return for switching to ASDA pharmacy? Well as stated it's very convenient to pick up your meds whilst doing your shop. The pharmacy is open until 8pm, so you can combine this with your late evening shop for crowd avoidance and optimum efficiency, cutting the time down on your life admin. Also, I personally can categorically state that if you or one of your kids has ADD, these guys can supply the medicine
Is it that they have been less hard-hit by the shortage, due to having generally more storage room (and higher supplies) of medication? Are they just better organised at, getting in there first and getting the meds? Who can say, but what I can say is - ASDA is the superior pharmacy
You may have your pet peeves about being asked to remember a little extra. But when it comes to the ACTUAL reason that you use a pharmacy, which is getting your meds (not social interactions) - these guys come out on top. Fact.

Zero stars. Went in today, thankfully it isn't my regular pharmacy, so will be avoiding in future. I was asked by NHS professional to ask a pharmacist how to specifically use a nasal spray as many people do it wrong. The guy that came over seemed very ignorant and was speaking to me as if I'm stupid for asking for advice. He struggled to even get the lid off, then proceeded to explain condescendingly, how to push the button. I said I could work that out, it was more how to use it effectively. He then boxed it back up, I said don't worry I will ask elsewhere, then he got it all back out again and showed how to push the button again, and said there is a leaflet inside. Definitely need to pick somebody else to interact with people in this profession. The 2 women working there were nice.

My girlfriend and I went to pick up her prescription for asthma from the pharmacy yesterday. we had an emergency prescription on Mobile and they refused outright to give her medication and suggested we should contact 111 or go to the Oadby UCC.
We spent about *four* hours between Asda, UCC and calling 111 - all the while my girlfriend was struggling to breathe. Ended up going to A&E and nearly lost the love my life. Absolutely pitiful behaviour.

Awful attitude every time I try to use this chemist. If I arrive for a prescription they are always angry that I am there too soon and if I phone and ask when I should come in, they are angry because I don't know. I have given up and had my prescriptions switched elsewhere.

Rude customer service , Iam pregnant and ordered my medication regularly . The staff is not willing to look at my prescription and fobes me off and cuts my line . When you get to the pharmacy the prescription is ready and they still ask you to come back with so much attitude . AVOID!

Very poor chemist. No idea why a chemist inside a busy supermarket is allowed to just close for half hour / an hour when it fancies. Waited 20 mins, they opened 5 mins later than their sign said, and then had no eczema cream blaming manufacturing issues. Went to Lloyds and bought exact same cream they said wasn?t available. Rude as well!

Amazing place the most helpful pharmacist I?ve come across. On two occasions they have gone out of there way to help me. Once when I needed an inhaler and had no prescription they could see I needed and gave it me. On another occasion, recently I ran out of my prescription medicine, couldn?t get hold of the doctors for over a week and they took it upon themselves as they could see I was suffering and gave me my medication enough to get me through the night and it really did save my night. Amazing service better than the doctors tenfold!!
