We went to DFS on 1st September 2025 to order a 2-seater sofa. A sales assistant spoke to us but quickly prioritised other customers buying full sets. We were told to wait and ended up sitting for over an hour with no one helping us, even after reminding them. With only 10 minutes until closing, the assistant was still busy and said it would take another 15 minutes. Feeling ignored and let down, we walked out. We?ve always bought from DFS, but this time the service was very disappointing.

Rather useless, you won?t even get your sofa.
Ordered in January and requested the delivery be delayed until 1st May to finish off some jobs, a two week delay only, important as they can only hold your sofa for a maximum of 2 days so you have to be ready.
Expected delivery is now end of June. 5.5 months is unacceptable.
Please be aware if you delay delivery you are not delaying delivery, you are delaying the manufacture of the sofa and they are not intelligent enough to realise the delays until it is too late and are treated as if you have only just ordered as it just sits on hold with no one paying any attention.
This is a subtle but important thing they don?t tell you. DELAYING DELIVERY IS NOT DELAYING DELIVERY. ITNIS DELAYING THE MANUFACTURE AND SHIPPING TO DEPOT.
They also want to tell you with less than a week notice whether they can deliver it and to remove old furniture which is not feasible if you rely on council removal which for heavy upholstered items has a two week delay. You will end up removing furniture ready for delivery to be told it is delayed two months and you shouldn?t remove furniture which isn?t feasible.
Over £2000 and will have no sofa or anything to sit on for 10 weeks.
Just unacceptable.

DFS Do not deserve 1 star, having mis sold Sofas and Guardsman policy, I have had nothing but issues from Day 1 with DFS from Sales to Service. Appalling behaviour now having to Involve FURNITURE OMBUDSMAN to escalate matter. DFS representative named Daniel Spilane claiming Springs noise or defect is normal, obviosly does not know any history behind issues I have had, seems to be common practise as Daniel seems to response to other issues claiming exactly that any defects are normal, even to other customers..AVOID DFS AT ALL COSTS, they seem to purposely delay dealing with issues, there own Staff using these words

I bought my first sofa! I bought the bellino sofa with Hitesh in Leicester. We were unsure about the cushions which were pre chosen but he ensured we got exactly what we needed. We were also clearly informed about the ability to claim back money should our sofa be discounted whilst being produced, it went down by £200 and I was refunded this a few days after delivery. Great service from Hitesh and the delivery team too. Thanks all!!

Selling me a sofa only for me to complain multiple times as the sofa has made cracking sounds since owning it.. only to be told that it is ''normal''

Don?t really like writing bad reviews but when you get delivered a dirty damp settee with stains that?s also not the colour I ordered I felt I had no choice. A man was sent to clean it, which he did. He also came with a colour swatch that matched my sofa. Unfortunately that wasn?t from the book I picked it from. Heard nothing back for 2 weeks now. I suppose they?ve wiped their hand of me now. I?ve never had anything light grey in my house ever. So I?m left with the only option of selling it because I hate it. The loss is £800. Thanks DFS. I feel like got a second hand settee.

The man and wife team are excellent representatives for this branch of DFS. We didn't purchase a sofa, but that doesn't detract from the professionalism of these two.

I am very disappointed with the service at the fosse park Leicester branch. It started well but ended badly. I was seriously interested in buying a new sofa but the sales people were incompetent and impatient with the questions I asked. I as a customer felt very uncomfortable and unattended by the sales .

I bought this sofa from the shop, I have been told that it?s cancelled customer order & brand new sofa. Not only it took double the time promised to deliver, but also when I got it it is completely damaged with torn in over 9 places. I don?t understand how a sofa with this condition can be sent out for a customer who ordered brand new sofa. The more terrible thing, from the minute I got the sofa, I filled form, send multiple emails photos of damage, and called over 6 times, and up to this moment no one got in touch with me about replacing it. I am very disappointed, this is really very awful experience.
I left a review on Trust-pilot, they mentioned that they try to get in touch with me, but nothing happened since then. It?s been over than a week.
I am attaching the photos which shows that the sofa should go to trash not to customer home.
