I have had a terrible experience with Melton Mowbray Costa.
I placed an order today for Costa Coffee. I was then phoned by the restaurant who informed me they did not have the food I'd ordered [vegan toastie and mozzerella panini]. We agreed the order should be cancelled as they did not have what I'd ordered and the employee advised me to cancel it "on my end".
I then cancelled the order and was charged in full (£20) despite Costa not having my order in stock, and not having prepared my order. I cancelled because I was TOLD TO by the restaurant because they could not fulfil my order.
I feel this is a scam. Having looked into it myself I know now Costa should have cancelled the order on their end due to not having my order available. I will not be using this Costa again.

Place was filthy and the staff were rude and miserable. Zero customer service, didn?t bother to buy anything after hearing the staff member discussing toilets and moaning for customers to hear. Avoid

Coffee good, staff nice and pleasant. Deducted a star for no froth on the cappuccino plus I must mention the seats which to be blunt are pretty stained / dirty. You need to get some new furniture or at least do a deep clean.

In need of tlc , the coffee was fine but mostly populated by children charging their phones and leaving their scooters laying about the place trip hazard waiting to happen . Sorry but not a comfortable place for a coffee

Only one veggie option in the food cabinet..we both had cheese and tomato toasties. Staff lovely.

Unpredicted coffee stop and was glad I did. Relaxed atmosphere on a Monday afternoon but staff made the difference. Friendliness all round, especially Shauna who mentioned having a headache but was still making an effort to smile and laugh. Sugar and sweeteners all topped up and clean toilets. Perfect stop, thanks.

Ordered a latte and Soya latte, was told they would bring the drinks over to our table when they arrived they didn't know which was the Soya one so had to re make it again as I have a milk allergy and couldn't risk drinking it, when that turned up it was the worst latte I've ever had at Costa way too strong and tasted horrible ?

Over priced for what you get. Popped in while I was waiting for an appointment as I had time to kill. Cold seating area, for some reason they kept the door open to the storage / kitchen area next to the toilet, and dirty tables. Staff seemed confused when placing orders as well. Won't be going again.
