The buffet food was extremly good, home made, flavoursome and plentiful. Couldn't fault it.
We don't live locally, but will be sure to call again if in the area.

What a lovely place. Having just attended a family funeral I must say the staff were lovely and the food was absolutely beautiful. Highly recommended

Hmm I am not sure this is a typical Best Western. Had lunch as part of a birthday celebration. Food was overall ok but no more. I had chicken breast with brie & bacon. This was chicken breast, a lump of brie, a slice of bacon covered in an orange cream sauce! To misquote Eric Morecambe...all the right notes just not necessarily in the right order! Service was poor, not enough staff and any requests were seen as giving stress. When we came to pay we had to hunt through the building to find someone (eventually near the kitchen). The reception never seemed manned in the 2.5 hours we were there. Perhaps it's different in the evening when people are likely checking in, I hope so!
Food and drinks: Very average, it's ok, but not worth a special visit.

I arrived as a group for a get together as there was less than 20 we did not need to pre book.
I was asked what I wanted by a lady who looked stressed. I wanted lamb and wanted the server to know about my allergies which are life threatening.
I told I was allergic to peas- I felt cut off being told it was ?it (lamb) don?t come with peas? i felt she did not want to listen- if I was allowed to continue would have told the server that Pea Protein can be also be found in some gravy?s or processed meats.
This was the first time I came to this place and feel they could do better with acknowledging allergies. It might not matter to staff but matters to me be being in intensive care. Some allergies are life threatening.

Room was ok but very basic. Disappointed with the food sadly. Service very good on reception and in the restaurant.

Hotel is dated but clean and comfortable
Staff are very friendly and helpful
Food is great and plenty of it.
Good bar and is highly recommended

Food lovely had steak which was big and tasted great.

Sunday lunch for family pre Christmas get together. Brilliant. Everything was perfect - location, food, service, price and staff. Have rebooked for next year. Thank you all x

Rooms: Well equipped, comfortable, quiet location, dog friendly
Nearby activities: Not a great number of activities locally but good for groups with own agenda

Rooms: This hotel may not be a luxury retreat, but it truly has its own special charm. The character & uniqueness of the place made my stay very memorable
Don?t miss a stroll in the English garden, it is so nice - especially on a sunny/foggy day! Watching the RoboVac tidying up the lawns was really cool - definitely need one of those at home lol
Having breakfast in the mornings here was a good start to each day & the staff's warm hospitality was wonderful - HIGHLY RECOMMEND! ??

Really nice hotel well located to reach also downtown by foot but having a private parking closed at night. The personal is very polite and friendly to answer some questions about tips to visit around. The rooms are quite big and even if we notice that the hotel is quite a few years old, it is really well decorated and has all what I needed for a comfortable stay. The garden is amazing and it is really a quiet area to relax and read some books or have a tea/coffee listening to the birds and watching the flowers. I highly recommend and wish I would have stayed there longer.
Rooms: Quite big. Clean. Only english sockets to plug some electrical devices so that an adapter is needed. Possibility to sit and relax. We can hear people talking on the floor.
Nearby activities: Possibility to walk in the nature or to the city
Safety: Parking is closed at night.

What a lovely hotel. Very nice rooms. Amazing gardens and views from the restaurant. The staff were very helpful, especially the newly appointed Assist Manager. I believe he had only been there for a short period when we were there.
Can highly recommend.
