Whilst the immediate area is a bit like a scene from the walking dead it is a great place to drop the kids off with their gran. This 'services' is good because neither of us has to drive for miles on the wrong side to get turned around.

Hotel interior smells strongly of smoke, rooms also require updating as they are showing signs of their age.

Booked here as a quick overnight stay due to needing to be in the area, pulled up and was horrified by the greeting. These photos are not recent. it is on a site of an old service station that is now abandoned, not the safest place to stay as a lone female. In the car park there was a guy peeing up the bins, and people smoking outside the front. I checked in, thinking only one night. The room was in dire need of a refurb shabby was an understatement, most of the furniture was split, mirrors were dirty, cobwebs on the windows. The bathroom units and floor were dirty, it was only the bath and sink which had been cleaned. It was grim. I chose not to stay in the end, after smelling cannabis and smoke whilst in the room. I left checked out and carried on driving instead. Worst travel lodge I have ever stayed in. No idea how its still in business.Rooms: The rooms are so dated, grim and just a mess. Covers missing from remotes, heater hanging off the wall, solo trip yet the room was set up as though a family was about to stay in it. Bathroom was dirty.Safety: Didn't feel safe here as a solo female.Noteworthy details: AVOID! It was grim

Slightly dated rooms but spotlessly clean rooms that are well maintained. The staff are professional, polite, friendly and helpful. The only drawback if that the hotel is situated in an abandoned service station that is being left to return to nature. If that doesn?t bother you, it?s a nice hotel, with nice staff.

Rooms 4?. Absolutely nothing wrong with the rooms. Clean, comfy, spacious, good mattress / pillows etc. Bathroom a bit 'worn' but fine. All basics provided. (5? given discounted cost).Service 5?. Didn't have much contact with staff, but the bits that I did were non-standard communications and they sorted well + friendly & helpful on arrival.Location 5?. On the A50 near Markfield / Groby but really quiet.Overall, highly recommended ? ?Noteworthy details: Very good value for money.

It was located right next to the M1 and perfect for our family get together in Woodhouse Eaves. Our two dogs were allowed to stay with us which was a bonus. We could come and go as we please and it was quiet as most of the place was only a quarter full. It's situated next to a couple of derelict buildings including a petrol station but it was practical for us in every way.

I stood in the free truck parking lot. Request to colleagues, keep clean! Otherwise they will close like many other places...

I recently stayed at this hotel and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The atmosphere was welcoming and friendly, making me feel right at home. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a pleasant stay. What made my stay especially memorable was the outstanding service, particularly from Karen. She was incredibly helpful and kind, always ready to assist with any queries or needs. Her local knowledge and recommendations added a special touch to my visit. The hotel was really nice and well-maintained, which made my stay very enjoyable.Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its great service, especially from Karen, and its nice, comfortable setting. It was a delightful experience!

When we first pulled into the car park I thought it had been knocked down/derelict, however once we got around the corner we saw the Travelodge.Check in staff was very friendly and helpful, and the room was basic. You can tell it's an older Travelodge but this meant it was a much larger room and it was a full bath in the bathroom (we had come from a newer Travelodge that was just a shower room and much smaller). Bed was comfy and the room was clean (we didn't do the 4 in the bed running fingers over skirting boards and behind TVs like some people feel the need to do!)Vending machine was the same price and contents as another Travelodge we stayed at. There are no other facilities here so either grab something before you arrive or expect to go out.We stayed with dogs and the car park was large and great for walking them, however there was a lot of litter and empty alcohol scattered around the car park.Yes the services that were attached to it are now derelict and abandoned but we found it hilarious ? Will certainly remember staying here!Rooms: Large, basic and comfy bed.Food & drinks: Other than the vending machine in reception and usual in room tea/coffee nothing within walking distance.Noteworthy details: Services are empty and derelict, however Travelodge is still maintained and open.

This review is not about the hotel itself but the staff. Tonight (8/12/23)myself and my toddler was towed to the travellodge due to my clutch going just before I took the M1 exit. The receptionist this evening Dan was incredible. He allowed me to charge my phone offered us drinks, use of the toilets. He played and distracted my 2 year old while I was on the phone to the RAC. I honestly cannot thank him enough, as my little boy thought he was amazing. We was in reception for 4 hours and nothing was too much trouble.Thank you Dan you?re a star.
