Haunch here in Sunday 24th Aug, we had our bernese mountain dogs with us but the large courtyard outdoor eating space was lovely, would highly recommend.

Stayed over for 1 night .turned up and friends had booked us in for Sunday night instead of Saturday night we thought this is going to be a problem. Not for the reception staff not only did thet move us but we got a complimentary upgrade free .thank-you so much .Great hotel wonderful staff .superb Sunday roast

Why can't hotels do breakfast properly?
A hotel breakfast should be an enjoyable experience that sets you up for the day, and not a challenge.
We were asked on arrival what time we wanted breakfast, for which we booked at set time. When we arrived at that time, no table in the main area was available just downstairs or wait for 20 minutes.
No glasses for juice, no spoons on the table, no butter, no beans, no eggs, truely felt like oliver saying please sir can I have some more.
This hotel is not unique in this but it was a on another level of frustration. Clearly poor organisation on someone's part, felt very sorry for the staff and gave up asking for items.
The room was lovely. Breakfast just spolis the experience.
On check out, I did NOT get asked if everything was OK with our stay, so either they know and didn't ask or don't care.
Plenty of other places for breakfast not too far to walk either. However, we paid in advance, which, on reflection we wished we had done

I booked an afternoon tea for my Grandad's 90th birthday. My Grandad, my Mum, my two young children and myself were there. The cakes for the childrens afternoon tea were rock solid and were inedible for my young children. They had obviously just been removed from the fridge. I have been to a lot of aternoon tea places and this wasn't worth the price. The service was non-existent. It took a while for our afternoon teas to come out. We were informed it was unlimited drinks, yet no one came over to our table the entire time to take more drink orders. Instead, I had to go and find someone and ask them. For the price I paid, it was definitely not worth it. It ruined what should have been a special occasion and I will not be returning.

I think i could've pictched a tent in the carpark and had a better quality sleep, it certainly wouldve been cleaner.
The location is central and thats where the positives end really.
The room was awful, essentially its in a car park - outside our window was the parking machine and the other side an MOT testing centre. We were in the building labelled 15 on the map ive included. There were motorbikes parked in the apparant one way bit that were revving engines from 6.10am one morning. You're also on the main route for the bottle bins and wheelie bins being taken plus the beer barrel collection.
The awful sleep experience aside the room itself was dirty, dusty and smelt of damp. The bathroom windowless and just disgusting, the curtains in the bedroom were hanging off and I found an old plaster on the floor.
We were ignored in the bar trying to get drinks by servers chatting amongst themselves. The only polite and friendly staff member was the lady on the hotel reception check in.
Avoid avoid avoid.
