The worst Wetherspoons ever!! I am from Torquay and we have the green ginger which is awful!! But this place is another level! Food cold garlic bread raw I was informed that one of the meals were supposed to be cold I said maybe contact other branches as they have always been hot however the duty manager was lovely gave us a refund very friendly and the lady that bought us our food was also lovely don?t order steak and ale pudding as that was so cold it was I believe just shown the oven not actually put in same with the garlic bread such a shame as the actual pub was beautiful just let down by food the chef was clearly uninterested as when going to the loo he was just stood flirting with a young lady maybe he should focus more on the food and less about scoring with women

It's probably the worst Wetherspoons in the UK. As a former employee of The Gate Clock, Greenwich, I was shocked at how messy and unclean tables were and the lack care by the staff.
I would advise anyone who has never been here, to consider spending their money elsewhere. If any pub should be closing their doors, it should be this one.

Brilliant, food cheap and cheerful, pub classics , staff always on top of everything, clean tables, fast service. What's not to like for a value for money meal with the kids

Today, was first time l felt that Wetherspoon brand has lost it?s way at The sugar loaf Market Harborough. We normal make a Bee line to all Wetherspoon in all city centres because they provide the best Bramley apple crumble that is Gluten-free but at this Wetherspoon l have never felt so unwelcomed. I stood at the bar for a good 15 minutes and never got a look or acknowledgement by anyone behind the bar. They kept serving other people around me. We left, thinking poor brand service.

Two of us visited The sugar loaf, both had the 10oz gammon it was very good especially considering the price, have paid a lot more in restaurants and the food no better than here. Chips were good and hot and the eggs cooked just right. The only downside being some of the tables needed a good wipedown, overall experience good as were the beers we had.

Din, dingy, depressing. Ok so it was a Monday night but there were about 6 people in there. Went to order lager, most of them were out of stock. Nuff said.

Very nice interior to this pub with local historical photos and information on the walls. Great outdoor space at the back and to the side.
The door at the back of the pub which was near to where we sat was banging when it closed. The staff were using it so it was quite frequent.
