Lovely staff, great range of books, nice atmosphere and amazingly cheap! Shame there isn't a place to sit down but it's so small, there isn't enough space really. Absolutely love it and I pop in every time I go past.

I have been visiting Age UK Bookshop for many years. The window display of books frequently changes, no doubt to entice those who pass by to come inside. Then when one opens the door and steps inside, one sees shelf after shelf filled with books; books on divers subjects to satisfy the bookworm or casual reader. One can browse without any pressure to buy, even if one is engrossed in a particular book. Should one be looking for a specific book but cannot find it, then help is at hand from one of the assistants whose endeavours are never exhausted, and remember surplus books are kept upstairs. And when who one looks at the prices, eyebrows will be raised, you will not be robbed, so rob your piggy bank and stock-up with books because the dark nights will soon be here and winter too. Methinks, that the next time I visit this bookshop I will buy a couple of books on romance; this will raise my wife's eyebrows, then she might say 'give me another kiss' rather than 'wash the dishes'! One must always have hope.
