Came here today at 6pm hoping to have coffee and one of the items off the dessert but sadly they were not serving any food. I do agree with the review from a year ago, that it is clearly a place for the local toffs to hang out and mingle. So not that welcoming. No menus placed out to look at and the staff member wasn't that friendly, they are not clear about what is served when at what times / days/ they aren't forthcoming about this information. It seems they perhaps sporadically decide in the moment when to do what, so not a reliable place to come to in that regard. So back to the Tarro for us, might not be a toffs playground but at least they serve coffee after 4 o'clock

Only went to the cafe, so I can't comment on the restaurant or pub.
Service was excellent, food was good for a cafe, prices are reasonable and overall the place is worth a visit.

Great pub with a good varied menu and in season produce. Tea and coffee available. Large garden ideal for a cool beer or wine in the sunshine.

Really clean and tidy establishment. Service is really good and food is amazing. Our first time there and will definitely be going back. Thoroughly recommend.

Really nice atmosphere with plenty of seating. We perhaps caught them on a bad day for food as all day breakfast was very average, sausages very over done and egg undercooked. Chicken coupons also over cooked, chicken was hard and peas like cannonballs!
On the plus side best pint of Bass I have had in years.
Will perhaps try again in the evening one day.

We visited during a bike ride on a Wednesday morning, the place is obviously a cyclists' destination as there were many others there.Food choices were great for both veg and carnivores, staff were friendly, what's not to like? We left before the bar opened so as to make it home in one piece.

Love this pub! Always such a friendly welcome on arrival, relaxed atmosphere and it's so lovely to sit out in the garden area looking over the fields! ?
