Terrible experience today at TESCO in The Rushes, Loughborough. At self-checkout, an extremely rude and ill-prepared employee stupidly demanded my wife's ID because we were buying a non-alcoholic beer. My wife only had a digital version and it was not accepted (which was the first time, because on all other occasions TESCO employees accepted the digital version normally). The employee rudely removed the beer from the cart, even crushing some vegetables and bread, making us go through unnecessary embarrassment in front of other customers in the store. TESCO employees need to be better trained, because there is no standard service.

Well, I have to contradict all the negative reviews! The staff at this store are all really lovely, helpful and professional. Yes, you have to spend £10 to get 2 hours parking (not their fault, the NCP) and yes, they don't stock as much as the larger store at Shelthorpe, but they are a very well run place and always a pleasure to shop there.

Shop is fine, parking is a scam though. Used to be free with validation from Tesco, no longer the case. Managed to go over 2 hours and it cost us £8.95 for the privilege. Avoid if you drive, go to Shelthorpe instead.

Went to tesc0 entertainer in loughboro to buy my son a toy . When i took my selection to till was told i could not buy toy as they could not scan toy. And manager was unavailable. Not very helpfull at all.

I always have a good experience at Tescos and would like to thank all the hardworking and pleasant staff.
In particular I was helped by Trevor at the checkout yesterday. I appreciated his polite and helpful manner . Thank you.
