I am not going say my full story because of confidential reasons but the family law side of straw and Pearce have been excellent even though it?s been a complex case I have had emotional and legal support as a male of domestic abuse it?s hard to get justice with the system always favouring mothers, Jennifer Ellis and her legal team Natasha hollier from the team who has listened to me every step and they have been excellent support , I am writing a review to show my respect and tell other people who are suffering there is a light at the end of the tunnel just keep going! After a year long of trials finally its getting there now . Best in the East Midlands for family law yet to mention the barrister who was amazing in court to fight for you.Truth always triumphs! I would recommend for family law to anyone who is going through a battle as a father or mother.They respond quick and and give you the best advice. They can help even most complex cases . Also the criminal side of the firm is excellent which I had to get help from aswell. Keep helping the people and good work guys !!

complete shambles. i contacted them regarding a house sale and stressed we needed to move quickly.10 days later i chase them up and they tell me they are waiting for an email sent 5 days earlier.we are now at 15 days later, and nothing at all has been done. they lose or dont open emails and then just ignore you. If you want to sell a house id avoid these.all they have done is string me along for 15 days and delay my house sale which they knew was on a tight time frame. Now using someone half the price and 10x as efficient.

Pramila Meghani was my Solicitor. She was competent however had zero compassion or people skills. I did not feel supported at all. Correspondence sent to me was still with my former surname after the divorce, with no consideration that I had actively changed my name via deed poll to distance myself from the abusive ex. I was told very bluntly that each email I was sending was at a cost. There was little time taken to explain terminology to me, and I felt like a number rather than a person. The whole process was traumatic and anxiety inducing, for what was already a deeply stressful time.The only positive point I have was the barrister Stuart was great. Friendly, kind, and I was confident with his capabilities representing me. Unfortunately the negative outweighs the positive and I felt like a second class citizen due to having the legal aid accepted. Would not recommend, glad its done with now so I don't have to deal with Pramila again.

I would like to thank the Straw&Pearce Solicitors for their excellent work, dedication, and patience through a very difficult time in my life.To name a few individuals, Hayley and Sarah were very professional, offering support, kindness and understanding throughout my case. (NOTE: Sarah does not work for this company)At first, I was unsure whether I needed a solicitor or not as I felt that I had nothing to hide. However, that is not the case as no matter the situation, I was advised it is always best to take a solicitor or legal advice. In particular, Hayley was there for me from the very start of my interview while in custody, offering me legal advice in which steps I should take while also calming me down. Hayley was able to contact me regularly through a secure email system, updating the progress of the case and giving me the reassurance or guidance. Hayley was able to give me that extra push through the hard times to gather as much evidence in my defence which was needed. Sarah was also fantastic as she explained my account to the court in ways which I would never have been able to do myself. I felt that however busy they were, they always lent a sympathetic ear which was very much appreciated. Majority of people will never find themselves battling a court case against them which I thought I wouldn?t have to go through.Overall, it was a well earnt successful result with the hard work from everyone which I cannot thank them enough. I would highly recommend Straw&Pearce Solicitors and taking their legal advice if you ever find yourself in police custody.

Generally really poor service, we felt like the solicitors we had dealings with were incompetent and there seems to be a very high turnover of staff here. We did not have confidence in this firm which influenced our proceedings, i would not recommend them and we will not use them again.

He has dealt with my case for best part of a year and he has been brilliant.He has always kept me updated with everything I needed to know and has been readily available by email and phone call if I had any worries or concerns about things. Unprofessional,not capable of doing there job,this company is a complete joke as solictor you would think they would have to serve a certain level of professional service...our house move ended up delayed as it was near on impossible to make contact with our solictor and this is before she went on annual leave & never told us of whom was taking over our case & had no knowledge so ended up asking us for everything all over again & specifying she needed documents they had! I would also like to mention that they was blaming our lender for delays when they forgot to mention it was because they let someone who wasn't authorised to do so sign our legal documents!! We did ask to speak to a manager & even when they asked for feedback afterwards we expressed our complaints and asked for the manager to make contact with us as of all the extra costs in extra rent etc in them coursing us never got any correspondence from them...please avoid this company needs shutting down there incapable of doing there job!!

AVOID if you want your house conveyancing done in a speedy manner do not use this firm 12 weeks to get a answers on 10 questions. Always on a day off or on annual leave... should it take 5 months of back and forward to move house? Nope! If you want to waste your money, have sleepless nights, a substantial amount of hair loss and lose the buyers of your house please choose this firm they are fantastic....In conclusion DO NOT USE AVOID AVOID AVOID !!!Have a nice day
