I did a switch from another bank so I could get the £175 as the government have taken the heating allowance off us thought it would help.
From the beginning I did it by phone. The man was helpful but I didn't understand everything about the switch. So I did the switch on the 12th thinking my direct debits would have Goe through. You have to have £1000 in your account on a certain date. I thought I would get a moth from when the account was opened. The I get a essage saying I have to have the £1000 in on the 20th? So only had 8 days. My pension wasn't going in until the 24th.
So I called and explained nothing they could do.
So I borrowered money and had the £1000 transferred in. Then I got a message saying you are not getting the £175 as money was transferred from a nationwide account. But it wasn't my account so why shouldn't matter?
Now they said all money coming in if sent to my old bank which is now closed would be automatically transfered to my nationwide account. This didn't happen. My old bank sent it back so it was due on the 24th Dec still not in my account. So there won't be enough in the account to cover direct debits coming out so I will get charges. So instead of it going smooth and getting money for switching I will end up having to pay out money and being worse off than I was. It has got me so depressed. I already suffer with anxiety. So not a good experience. So beware.

I went to the branch to ask for help as I have issue with my online application and it?s wasn?t helpful. The customer service was disrespectful as I was taking to her she was reading papers and ignoring me

Staff are all friendly jus think its silly being closed on a Saturday morning not able to get there in the week my self so now unable to do what I needed to.
