When you order vegetable chow mein, you don?t expect to find a piece of chicken in it.

Classic, authentic home-style Chinese cooking you can't get in the UK. Really cool atmosphere. Sunday buffets are incredible

Sadly this is the only place I know of that when you order a desert to then be told that the staff in the kitchen are too busy and can't be bothered,

The food was good, and the people were lovely too, the location is a little odd and the tables are very close. A strange atmosphere, but good food.

Had the buffet, nice selection of food (mains and desserts) reasonable priced £90 for 3 adults and 3 children buffets and a drink each.

The food here is incredible. The beef is SO tender and soft. The chuff is held in high regard to another restaurant in Derby.. nothing but praise. If you like supreme quality beef, come here. Its quite and the owners are really lovely people.. its a hidden gem. I've travelled a long way to come here.. Its the nicest Chinese I've ever had.

Honestly, I went over ti the noodle bar (for no reason) and they said no as I was by my self.. so I popped across the road to Mr Chans.. WOW.. I asked the lady what she recommended, and she helped me.. I had the Chairmaan Mao's beef chilli and bould rice.. ot was the most delicious delicate beef I have ever had.. honestly, it even came out over a flame so it kept HOT as I was eating it. I'm personally blown away.. The owners are really lovely people and smile lots. Its a hidden gem if you like food. Try the dish I had if you like heat.. I'm going to bring my family here.

Easter sunday evening. Very quiet. They served well, three of my favourite mains. Plenty of food and choice available. Reasonable price. Staff helpful. One of the original classic restaurants with fantastic decor. Sadly the eating area was basic and lacked atmosphere. Perhaps authentic music might help.

Came here with my family for the Sunday Buffet (all you can eat), and was very happy with the quality, especially after seeing the somewhat low ratings prior.Overall, the buffet was good value for money. There was very much a "Quality over quantity" feel to it, in that there wasn't a vast range of dishes on offer, but the ones they presented were cooked to a great standard. Some of the dishes included more expensive options that you wouldn't expect to see in an all you can eat place for £16.50 per head, such as peeled king prawns, crab claws, and crispy shredded beef.Their range of starters was good and high quality, including prawn toast, spring rolls, skewers, chicken balls, and dumplings. The mains induced fried noodles, fried rice, sweet+sour chicken (still crispy even after being left in sauce), crispy shredded beef, chilli chicken, prawns, beef with black bean sauce, and a few other things. All very popular dishes cooked very nicely. The atmosphere was also very nice, and the service was friendly.Would highly recommend for the Sunday buffet. I haven't been yet for the regular menu, but I would imagine it would be of a similar qualityVegetarian options: Vegetarian options are clearly labelled. In the buffet, there are good vegetarian and vegan options, including the sweetcorn soup

Went on a Sunday for the "buffet". Very limited selection and most of it was cold. Decor dated and no atmosphere, very depressing. Waitress was pleasant. Over priced for the selection available... £16.50 for buffet and £3.80 for a coke zero, definitely not worth it and would not recommend it.
