Sadly not a good experience. Had a slow puncture to a tyre so booked to drop off at 8.30am for it to be checked and then, hopefully, either repaired or a replacement ordered to be sorted the same day. Was told it would be looked at first off to see what needed doing.Chased at mid day and it hadn't been looked at.At 3pm I was told there was still 2 jobs ahead of it, and that was for it to just be looked at so no chance of being sorted that day. At 3.30pm they couldn't guarantee it would be done by 5pm so I ended up picking my car up without it being looked at, as I had to pick up my son. Have now booked in at a different place for tomorrow instead.

Took my car in for a Major service and MOT.The following day, my engine splash guard dropped whilst driving which had to be taped back up on the side of the road.Shortly after this, the engine oil warning light came on requiring a trip to a garage shop so I could buy oil and top it up... The day after a service!Registered my issues with customer service who informed me that I would receive a call back, which hasn't happened.A shame really. The service from this place has been pretty good until this event. Can't say I'm ever going back now.

I have never left a review in my life but this place is dreadful left my car with them at 8.30am after a nightshift , went back at 3.30pm to pick it up still not ready , said an hour I needed a full service,was only using them because it on my emac service plan!went for a wonder I'm loughborough came back at 5pm still not even looked at it they shut at 6pm ! I was telling the guy on reception it not acceptable none other than another chap said to me the same thing happened to him twice , avoid this place at all costs!

Mot service, my 2015 vehicle was given fault, the reason is that they caused 7 problems such as why the headlights are yellow in the factory vehicle, there is a signal problem, etc. And my car was given a fault, I have a premium membership, don't get it done, it's a money trap, I bought a car part from them and didn't change it, so I went to another place 2 days later, the green pass was passed. money trap halfords

Had my MOT done there, and then also had the repairs done after the MOT failed.Nice blokes working there, but god are they unorganised.1. I called a couple weeks ago to get the repairs booked in. I spent 20 minutes on the phone with the guy as his line kept disconnecting. After it was finally booked in and all parts were ordered he told me to bring my car in at 8 a.m on the date of repair and MOT retest.2. On the repair day, I got there on time, and they said my car hadn?t been booked in for a repair - what a nonsense, after all that faff on the phone the previous week. Anyways, after faffing about they booked me in anyways on the day and said they would ring me once it was done the same day.3. Come 4 p.m I hadn?t received a call yet from them so I call them. After waiting for 5 minutes o n the line, they said the MOT retest still had to be done and that they would ring me once it was done.4. I tried to call at 5.30 p.m again but couldn?t get through to them after waiting on the line for 10 minutes.5. So I went anyways in the hope it had been done and that they just forgot to phone me. Got there and the chap said the MOT retest still needed to be done. After faffing about a bit he then realised it had already been done in the afternoon and he wondered why nobody had told him.. a few minutes later he realised that he was the one that had done the MOT retest.. utter disorganisation and lack of communication.

Absolutely dreadful service from an awful company. First of all it took them three days to change my brake discs and pads because they, in their own words "Took on too much work AND ordered/were sent the wrong parts twice"Two months later and one of their "new" brake pads has failed, i notified the garage as they provide a warranty, i was told i would be called to arrange the repair later that day, it's now taken them over 24 hours to get back to me and 3 hours ago when i called them i was told i was next on their list, yet they close at 6pm so I'm clearly not getting a call or fix today.Absolutely ridiculous joke of a company, avoid like the plague

Absolutely awful service.Crashed my partners car when we took it in for a tyre change, didn't think to call us to tell us until we turned up to query where the car was.Took it back at 8am the following Friday to get quoted to repair and said we needed it back at 10am, we turned up at 10am and they'd only just got back and then we were told that they were waiting on the quote to come through later that day.No call to let us know, partners chased today and they still have no more information and he will have to call again on Friday to find out when he can get the damage that Halfords have caused repaired.We won't be returning with either car here again!!! Terrible service, terrible communication.UPDATE:Finally got a call back yesterday (27th) and without any discussion with my partner they had booked the car in on the 4th for repairs and he won't get it back until Friday. Please bare in mind that they got "the parts" in on Thursday the week before as I went in to query the status and got a woe is me story about how the manager is on his own and trying to deal with everything by himself. Sorry but there is a team behind the doors and if they are so understaffed why is Halfords not doing something about it?!

Avoid!The 1st time we used this place was for a simple service on my wife's car. After collecting the car, 1/2 a mile down the road it started smoking. On lifting the bonnet it could be seen that oil was spraying all over the radiator and exhaust and burning. Took it back and the guy in the garage took no hesitation in throwing his apprentice under the bus by saying that he had overtightened the oil filter and pinched the seal and that he would give him a telling off! The car was a mess, with oil everywhere. They cleaned it up, replaced the filter seal and assured me it was now fine.We recently had an issue where my wife lost all gears, so being desperate and thinking we would give them another chance, we took the car here.They told me that the transmission cables needed replacing and we booked it in, leaving the car with them.The day came for the repair and we got no updates. When we chased they said it was harder than they had imagined and that it would be the next day now. The end of the next day came and they handed the car back to us saying it was fixed. Again, 1/2 mile down the road we lost use of some gears including reverse. When I phoned they said they would have to have it back in. Turns out they had not taking it for a test drive, simply reversed it out of the workshop into a parking space.The next day we limped it around and left it with them. Again, little updates and due to them not being able to test drive it for whatever reason, we were told it would now be the next day (again).At the same time a load of engine warning lights had come on, which were not there before.We collected the car and were told that a pin had been left out! Apparently the onboard was reset so the lights have gone, but I have no idea if that has fixed the issue or just hidden it.Throughout the job, I got the feeling they did not know what they were doing and there is a massive lack of customer updates. The guy behind the desk is very quick to blame staff, a very unique management style.In my opinion if they can't get a service right or do fairly basic work on what is probably one of the most common cars they work on, they are not worth going to.From the owners club I have since found out that the cables probably didn't need changing, instead the cable end can simply be re-attached to the transmission, a much shorter and hence cheaper job.Based on our experiences, there is no job on our cars I would trust to this garage which is a shame as they used to be very good.Update: This issue is not resolved, we have now lost use of 5th gear. From what I have researched this is because the transmission cable has not been properly adjusted. I specifically asked about this in store and got told that they are "pre-adjusted". I will be going to another garage to get this sorted as there is no trust that this place can do the job.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Arranged for company car to be collected, serviced and returned on a Saturday, via fleet owners portal. Car collected by representative, no further communication. Cat not returned same day. Went to store location on Sunday, as website states open 10anm to 4pm, autocentre is shut, Halfords branch open. Went in and explained to them car needed for work on Monday, they were very helpful, but not connected to the autocentre, as a seperate business, they managed to get hold of someone, who stated that they could not come and open the branch, because it would flag up to the Area and Regional Managers that the site had been opened up outside of trading hours.I would not recommend this company to anyone and will be leaving feedback with my leasing company to the same effect.Apparently I will not be getting the vehicle back until Monday, so will lose out on 1 days work, they can expect an invoice for cost of 1 days work lost.

These guys are fitters not mechanics!!Went in for a basic tyre change, they fit the front tyres and mess up one of the sensors. They didn?t align the wheels due to lack of equipment so I had to go back on two occasions as they kept on delaying it. This meant I was waiting around with two kids (baby and toddler) for hours and hours with no work done and no phone call. They tried to get more money for the wheel alignment id already paid for. Kept trying to get me to pay for wheel bearing (not needed at all) and new sensor that they messed up when changing tyres. SLIMY SLIMY just AVOID!!!

Tom and Joe were incredibly helpful in fixing my partner?s wiper blade! She had them fitted at another branch but they made a complete mess of it, not only did Tom and Joe get them fixed for us, they didn?t charge us. So lovely, best service.
