Visited Clarks on 9 December and was served by a lovely young gentleman who did his best to help me buy shoes. My feet were too wide but he spent ages trying to help. He definitely went the extra mile. Extremely pleased with the excellent customer service
He even suggested somewhere else in Loughborough I could try. I went yesterday and finally achieved my purchase.

Such a poor manager who was serving my friends today (5.10.24).
They were willing to buy 2 pairs for their daughter but manager didnt show a will to help when they asked for size 8 and she proudly said Clarks sizes is different and than she didnt want to bring different sizes and telling them to go to other shop to buy a socks. Did feel like she didnt want to serve them. I will be reporting this shop next wk.
Unacceptable.
Funniest is they really wanted to buy 2 pairs.
End we spent there 40mins and wasnt even busy.

I don't like posting bad reviews but sometimes the shop needs to know about it so that they can address it. I visited here and was made to feel as if I shouldn't have bothered. I was served by the manager who was far too busy arranging the shop to care about my son's shoes. He has difficult feet and not unreasonably wanted lace ups. Not once did she even feel the shoes on my son. I have always been served politely there before so hopefully this is a one off, but please, please put your customers before shop rearranging - that can be done after hours. And in case you feel my son was awkward, he has autism and new things are a struggle - I'm sorry.

A reasonable range of shoes in most sizes, usually a great shop and we always use it for my daughter, we are regular customers as her feet grow quickly as a toddler! I took off a star as at our last visit the two women measuring children's feet didn't really seem to know what they were doing very well and originally read my daughter's size as an 8 (up from a 5!) Until I queried this and was remeasured as a size 6. The other staff member measuring another little boy was telling the parents to measure their sons as they were not quick enough at measuring before he started fidgeting.

I should have learnt from previous purchases. Bought a pair of school shoes for my son. He wore them one day at school and both soles fell apart at front of shoe. The last 3-4 pairs I have bought from Clarke's have always fell apart before my kids have outgrown them. At the price Clarke's charge, this is not acceptable. One positive is that I returned the shoes 48hrs after buying them for a full refund.
