I visited the Loughborough store looking for a PlayStation Portal in good condition, but the experience was disappointing. While standing at the counter, the shop assistant ignored me and instead asked the person behind if they needed help, only acknowledging me afterward. When I asked to view the boxed unit they had in stock, I was told I couldn?t handle it due to store policy. Overall, the service felt unprofessional and unwelcoming. I won?t be returning to this store.

Poor service with zero flexibility. If you can use a different store. Coalville store is so much better run and the staff seem to have a working brain which always helps. Stay clear unless being disappointed is something you enjoy.

I sold a mobile phone to them online and was told to drop it off at the store. Communication could be better - no receipt was given for the phone when I dropped it off (which was a bit of a worry) and it was nearly a week before payment arrived after I had chased it in the meantime. On a positive note, the price they offered for the phone was the highest I could find anywhere.

This store has the fussiest staff when selling goods, they constantly turn things down to the most minor issues when other CEX stores happily buy them & pay even more for them!
Would not recommend, save yourself some time and sell your old bits elsewhere, they claim their testing is rigorous but quite often they?re too lazy to even book things in for testing or even accept appliances where there is no serial number or if the serial number requires a magnifying glass.

Had an issue with an online order ( sent a reproduction copy of an N64 game) and could not really get anywhere with the online help.
As it was a gift it has taken me some months to get ahold of it again and go in to try and sort.
The staff were so helpful and sorted it all out in less then 10 mins. Considering the time of year as well.
I'd like to say a bit thank you for the staff working today and helping me with that and if there's a way I can shout you out to your store manager/district manager for recognition let me know!

Bought my daughter a remote control for a PS4, as she started playing with it again and the old remotes would not work. So went it and asked if they had any was told yes one left £35.00, ok I will have it, was told any problems bring it back for full refund, took it home and tried to get it to work, but it just would not connect and when we finally got it to connect the buttons where not working properly. In the meantime I?d received a text from the bank to say I spent £45.00 in Cec Loughborough?? Didn?t check what he put in the card Machine, just Tapped my card. Anyway returning to the shop 1 day later, I went in and asked if the chap was working, and To be told no, I then asked a chap if I could have a refund as agreed as it didn?t work on my computer, he said if it fails his test ? He then turned his back on me for about 30 seconds and said it works on my computer ? Didn?t show me this ? I did ask to see and was told we are to busy, he said I will give you a store refund to send it store, and told me to look up second hand law ??? Never hear of this!!! But anyway I contacted Cex head office and was told they will look into how and why all of this had gone on , after 2 days someone got back to me and basically told me that?s the way it is. Nothing they can do. As the guy says the controller worked. Do not use this Company for anything scammers!!!

Amazing customer service! I received a faulty Apple Pencil from an online CEX order and took it to the store. The staff member was incredibly understanding and arranged for a replacement to be shipped out, which I was able to collect the very next day. Truly a lifesaver?thank you!

Poor level of service no one was bothered, bought a smart watch was put in a paper bag, asked for a box said we don't give boxes, funny that the other stores did and wrapped it in bubble wrap, watch was dirty as well. Hard to believe they even tested it as play store fIled to connect in the end had to return it to another store. Would not recommend this store at all. No probs at Leicester or Coventry just Loughborough where all they want to do is talk to each other

Working in Loughborough for a day so called in for a tech trwat. Small store with staff that were more concerned chatting with each other than helping me. Will go back to Nottingham Victoria next time
