I only found this little gem recently when I needed to have lens put into existing glasses. I usually go to a big chain but they prefer to sell you frames with lens. I thought I?d try this place as it?s so close to where I live.I should have made an appointment but went on the off chance and I was let in. The couple who run it are so friendly and very knowledgeable. They looked at my options and gave me a price for the new lens which beat the other place by a mile. I got the best quality lens for much less so I said to go ahead. They were sent off and came back earlier than expected so I was very chuffed. The glasses were fitted correctly to so they don?t slide down my nose any more. I was very impressed and will be using them in the future. Highly recommend.

Great service that is tailored to the individual needs of the customer and very reasonable prices. These guys are very knowledgeable and have a lot of experience that is often lacking with the big corporate opticians on the high street. The glasses were made to a very high standard and within a very short timeframe. Recommended.

My experience at this opticians was first rate.Very friendly staff who gave advice and answered all my concerns. This created a relationship of trust and reassurance.I had new lenses inserted into an old frame and my glasses were ready to collect in less than a week, much faster than anticipated and they are perfect for my needs., so much so that I actually forget that I am wearing them!!1st rate opticians, I highly recommend this independent service, so much better than my experience with the more well known large companies!!

I have been a regular with Woodgate Eye Centre for a number of years now, with each visit being top notch. However, today was quite special. My glasses broke so I went to see if they would be able to help on short notice. Despite being very busy, they welcomed my Dad and I extremely warmly, remembering us instantly. They took a look at my glasses, took my details and fished out my prescription from their archives, along with some lenses kept on file. We chose a frame (both staff being extremely helpful and giving frank, friendly, and at time humorous, advice while I tried each pair on) and within 15 minutes my new lenses were in the new frame. Absolutely amazing service, made even more so considering how much they had on and being so close to closing time. 10/10 would recommend to anybody.

Very very friendly and nice staff - the receptionist lady was really good and made me feel welcome. The optician was also very professional and patient. He explained all the different lenses and what they did respectively to me. What?s even better - I had two pairs of glasses done and was given an offer! It is the best service and experience I have ever had! Highly recommended!

Very friendly team, experience was one I would definitely recommend. They were very helpful in choosing a pair of glasses that suited me and at all times made me feel that my experience was tailor made to my needs without exception.
