We had a going away party for a coworker and we couldn?t have picked a better place. The ambience was lovely and the staff pleasant as well. Our food was a little delayed but that was totally understandable as it was a busy day. Everyone had positive things to say about their meal. All in all stellar experience.

Only popped in for a coffee to take away while out walking with my dog, I didn't know it took that long to make a coffee, if I did I probably wouldn't have bothered.

As a regular diner here I have never had a meal that I have not thoroughly enjoyed .
I sometimes feel that the chili's and curries should be a lot hotter, however this a personal view and not a complaint.
Sarah and her staff really try hard to keep us happy.

Just arrived back home from a birthday meal at the royal oak Kirby Muxloe Leicestershire what can I say differently 5 star place for a meal everything was really good food service atmosphere they even have a deli fridge that you can purchase various items to take home

Great stop en route from Northern England to Portsmouth. Huge meals all freshly made. Take away shop. Very friendly staff. Will definitely go back.

Came here one morning for breakfast with my young family. We were very disappointed with the service here. Asked for simple boiled egg/dippy egg and toast for my 3 year old daughter and was met with the reply the ?chef can?t do that? and that was it. After we eventually ordered something we ate the food and then 15mins later the coffees turned up which was poor (it was not busy half the tables were empty)
Felt very underwhelmed with the whole experience and the staff seemed uninterested about customer service.

Popped in for a quick drink today, service very poor , the man behind the bar made it feel like we were a problem . We saw some crisps and snacks behind the bar and asked what was available. He said go and have a look at the deli, after selecting some crisps from the bar , he through them down. No please no thankyou no manners . Will not be visiting again , the castle has service with a smile and makes you feel welcome
