Not a bad pub inside if you avoid the ground floor and go upstairs ( when it's open ) but the food is awful, it does not matter how many times you ask for it to be on a hot plate it arrives cold or at best luke warm, it's the worst Wetherspoons pub for food i have ever eaten in, don't they have a Microwave in this pub, we all know the food is precooked and kept under heat lamps but at least check it is actually hot before serving it. Ok for a drink but avoid the food.

We visited The Corn Exchange in August 2023. The pub is an impressive Grade II listed building, with a huge stone archway to the front which unfortunately was undergoing some work on our visit. The pub was refurbished in 2022 and the interior is a vast, open area across multiple levels wrapped around a central bar.The carpet is particularly interesting, with reference to the Leicestershire cinquefoil and the agricultural history of the building. The toilets have benefited from the refurbishment and the pub feels quite fresh, albeit very brown.Check out our website or visit our socials (@wethowanderers) to read our full review of the pub!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian and vegan options available.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options available.Parking: In Leicester city centre, so paid parking is available but a short walk away. Most council-owned car parks were £2 for 1 hour on our visit.Kid-friendliness: Family friendly pub.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible with downstairs accessible toilets.

I experienced homophobic harassment twice by another customer. I complained to the supervisor/manager but also got some harassment from him! Apparently the homophobic man has been a regular customer for years, therefore he was allowed to stay in the venue without any repercussions. The sad fact is that there are some LGBT people working in this pub that have no idea of this mans behaviour. So my advice is that if you are a part of the LGBT community, stay well away!

What's always struck me the most about this pub is that, despite it's very large, it's often completely full. In the mid 2020s, this is one of the few pubs in Leicester where two pints can land in your table for a fiver. The beer selection isn't bad! The selection of food is large, but much of it is meh. The pub's affordability makes it popular with students and pub crawls. A big plus is the pub's location in one of England's lovelier renovated historic corn exchanges

A typical City Wetherspoon bar. This is a big place with an upstairs level for extra seating. Typical Wetherspoon fayre. Ordering by the App was the best way to get food and drinks. Food was,hot and tasty, drinks cheap and cheerful. Be wary of the local beggars that frequent the market stalls outside at night after the market has shut. Otherwise a nice pub.

In case you're wondering what the Amercian burger without a bun looks like this is it. And this is after I sent it back.... We also had a portion of poppadoms and dips and what you can see in the background is the "Dip". Turns out it's also the topping for the burger. Ones served with coriander. One is served with mustard (I think/hope) Genuinely could t eat it. Save your money!

We all know that with any wetherspoons, you get what you pay for and it's never going to be a Michelin star experience, but what you don't expect is half hearted service, filthy coffee cups and inedible food. Absolutely shocking place, don't waste your time, effort or money (regardless of how cheap it is).

I get it?s a spoons so cheap and cheerful. But there?s only ever one person on the bar. Always a queue and considering it?s a wrap around bar no other staff on the bar. Other staff supposedly wiping tables. I mean they?re always sticky don?t expect anything new. But surely customer come first? The sticky tables can wait, have more on the bar at all times for food and drink orders. I mean it?s your profit at the end of the day. The highcross pub also spoons up the road at least have 4-5 people on the bar at all times. Also outside area very small and under the ?bridge? has been closed forever. Out of the pubs hands probably but more outside seating area is needed. Staff are friendly but the management who organise where they should be are missing out. Quick cheap and cheerful should be the service given. And it?s everything but quick

The majority of the online app was dissabled Breakfast took over 30 minutes. The eggs were hard ( after ordering soft), and the butter packs had melted into the breakfast, which left none for the toast. The pub was seriously understaffed and under prepared for the event in the city that had been advertised for months.

Seemed pretty empty & tables & chairs were clean. Easy to order, but OMG sooooooo slow. Staff seemed very disinterested. We waited 30 mins for a bowl of nachos & one of chips. Tasted ok when it arrived but a little thrown together. I guess you get what you pay for, but despite being one of the cleanest I?ve been in, it definitely wasn?t the speediest. And it was a mid week lunchtime .
