We had a private hen shower afternoon party here. The customer service was impeccable. Everything we wanted or need help with was provided.The private Rowan room was also very nice and much bigger then it looks in the pictures.Thank you to all the staff for making it a special day

Absolute gem tucked away in the city centre with a minutes walk to the train station. Hotel staff are brilliant and acknowledge all guests. Rooms clean and really well presented. Building itself must have a lot of history as all rooms have high ceilings and plenty of space. Free WiFi too. Recommend this place without

My friend and I regularly eat when she is staying over. The food is very tasty. The staff are always very helpful and friendly. Its all well-maintained. The rooms could be more modern but we like that it has some old charm. They are all very clean !!

A great place to stay for accessibility to the railway station - literally 5 mins walk away - but untroubled by rail noise.Very pleasantly surprised by my stay: spacious, comfortable rooms, very good service on check-in/out and breakfast, and great breakfast selection!OK, so the corridors to the room are a bit labyrinthine, but given it?s an old building, that?s entire forgivable - oh, and the strident corridor carpet will cheer you up on the way to/from your room!Would definitely recommend if you need a central - and friendly - place to stay in the city.

Great hotel, with good rates if you book direct with the hotel. Large car park at rear, but satnav takes you to front entrance which has limited parking and no turning space.Rooms: Really nice room, large with bath and shower. Very comfy bed.

Food here is not cheap, but it's very good. The room was spacious and clean. The staff were courteous and helpful. I marked the room down by one ? because the bath had high sides and no hand rail to help to get in and out, or to hold on to while taking a shower. I didn't feel safe. There was no non-slip bathmat, but I probably could have asked for one.The hotel is within easy walking distance of the city centre for able-bodied visitors. We found it nice and quiet.

This is a wonderfully quirky hotel in a fantastic location for quick access to the city or the train station. I stay here for work quite a bit and have been around a lot of the rooms. They are always clean and well presented. Staff are kind and have been quick to offer support when I have needed it. The breakfasts are good and offer you a lot of choice.I look forward to my next stay!
