A return visit something that is very rare for us locally.
We were greeted in the bar area and asked if we would like a drink in the bar or at the table in the restaurant we chose the latter.
We were given the choice of an a la carte, set or tasting menu.
Being midweek we chose a la carte knowing we would share each dish ordered anyway. Having viewed the Chefs social media videos of his bread making we asked for a side order of the bread which was outstanding a sourdough, a focaccia and a crisp bread that came with a light butter and amazing olive oil.
For starters we chose the grilled Octopus, confit tomato, tagiasche olive preserved lemon Pizza ( a signature dish of the chef owner) which was a real star dish the pizza base crisp & light. The confit tomatoes punchy with flavour, the olives and preserved lemon balancing out the whole dish with perfectly cooked Octopus. Our other starter was Fregola pasta from Sardinia, prawns, mussels & saffron, cooked to perfection & again packed with flavour.
For mains we chose
Halibut with a yellow tomato sauce the fish a generous sized portion that was skillfully cooked, the potato, samphire & mushroom garnish brought together the whole dish.
Pork 4 ways showed the kitchens skill level as each element was again perfectly cooked each one giving a different layer of flavour & texture the pasta element silky & the sherry jus was indulgent balanced with the root vegetable garnish.
For dessert we ordered the tartlet (chocolate) which was at the same level as recent michelin star versions we have tasted. Thin pastry that snapped when cut into, warm rich chocolate filling & toasted hazelnuts.
Terra Mia, Another signature dish of the chef owner and a wonderful representation of his home town a dessert I have experienced here previously its worth visiting Sapori just to taste this dessert alone
Service was outstanding, front of house staff very knowledgeable regarding the menu, wines & other drinks on the list.
For me this place is worthy of 3 aa rosettes and deserves more recognition from Michelin and other food guides

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. The food was great and the service was fantastic. These together with a pleasant and spacious environment made for a great evening. This is not a low budget option but it was the perfect location and good value for our family occasion

I can?t say enough great things about this incredible restaurant. It?s been a year since I first discovered it, and I?ve been a regular ever since. Luigi and the entire team consistently go above and beyond ? their service is simply outstanding. The food is nothing short of exceptional, with every dish surpassing expectations, and the ambiance of the venue is both elegant and inviting. I highly recommend everyone to try it at least once. I?m certain you?ll find yourself coming back, just as I do. Kudos to the team for maintaining such high standards and delivering an amazing dining experience!

Nice hidden restaurant, great service only downfall was the food, wasn't as good as expected, it wasn't bad but for a Michelin star restaurant expected quality to be much better

Sorry for the low score as the resturant is beautiful inside however i felt the menu is very limited for vegetarian options and there didnt seem to be any chicken. All dishes seemed to be pork, fish, beef or lamb non of which i eat. For pizza lovers pizza is only available in main resturant Mon-Thurs but can book a place at the pizza bar.The food we did have was lovely to be honest so if anyone eats the above then i think you would love it . The group i was in was placed near the kitchen which the kitchen staff seemed to think it was ok to randomly shout at each other which at one point made some of our party jump. The only positive was the waitresses they were fantastic excellent service very smiley which some other members of staff should take note of. If the menu changes would love to return as mentioned the venue is beautiful otherwise il stick to travelling to London for à la carte.

Always wanting to try Sapori finally got to eat at this phenomenal restaurant. Without question one of the best Italian restaurants ive eaten at outside Italy. Food is incredible... tasty, creative, extremely well presented using great tasting combinations. Atmosphere is relaxed in lovely surroundings, tables well seperated with a view of the open kitchen. Staff are welcoming, friendly and professional with great knowledge of the menu. This is a fantastic place to eat, cant wait to return.

Great high quality food, with thoughtful and unique wine pairing. The staff clearly know their stuff and are very friendly. Would highly recommend to friends, family and strangers.

Naaa the service did it for me. These people literally made us all get up to order because splitting bills was too much for them. Then they asked us to get up again to grab our drinks that weren?t made in front of us. Zero service. Waited over an hour to eat. Food was nice tho got the sea food type linguine. Chips was not nice, tasted like boiled potatoes in the shape of chips. Drink were nice. Overall for the price they could do much better with their service. I saw manger telling staff off for messing about. Maybe the day I went wasn?t their best day. But do better for ur service charge and price.

Recently visited for a special occasion, I have not eaten dinner Sapori for a few years and had a very pleasant surprise. The meal was delicious, with a starter of melanzane, main of linguine vongole, and a shared rhubarb panna cotta for desert. The food is cooked with passion and attention to detail, the service efficient but not over attentive. Drinks are well prepared (negroni and a peachy glass of mare chiaro from the specials menu). We loved it and will be back.

Sensational evening, really nice setting for the great meals we enjoyed and the staff were really friendly and went over and above for my Wife and I to enjoy our experience whilst celebrating our anniversary!
