Don?t have the plant based burger (ok I know it?s a steak house, clue is in the name!) it?s the worst I have ever had. All other food was lovely

I visited miller and carter enderby this evening for the first time, the food was outstanding! The atmosphere was great and the staff were lovely! Our server was named Charlotte, she went above and beyond to make our steak experience even better! I will definitely be visiting miller and carter enderby branch again :)

We have recently had no issues with any M&C property until this visit but it really put me off returning. We arrived at 1730hrs for an 1830hrs booking as we a change of plans. We acknowledged on arrival that we knew we were really early but asked if we could be seated any earlier than 1830hrs. The lady at front of house didn't seem particularly interested and just told us we could wait at the bar and get drinks if we wanted. 10 minutes past and we saw a couple arrive and say that they were booked at 1800hrs but knew they were early and the different lady at front of house managed to juggle some tables and seat them. I went and asked the same lady if she could look at the seating plan and seat us as the place was atleast three quarters empty but she said she couldn't but would book us as arrived and let us know if she can seat us early. Why didn't the first lady book us in as arrived? So we sat hopefully and 1800hrs past then 1815hrs and eventually 1830hrs came. Nobody had even acknowledged us or made any attempt whatsover to try to seat us early. I went and spoke to the desk again and this time it was a young server who then went and asked front of house manager where to seat us. We were lead past many tables that had been empty since we arrived an hour before to a table at the back. I asked the couple next to me if this table had been free for a while and they answered that they had been there for an hour and our table, and others, had been empty for the whole time they had been there. By this time I simply wanted feeding so my daughter and I ate and were out within an hour. I was going to speak to the front of house when we left but my daughter saw her talking to a server telling her "I'm the manager, just do it" so I decided that i did not wish to engage with a person that treats their staff this way as it would simply spoil the rest of my evening. I found the whole experience particularly poor. I understand coming early is not always possible to be seated but the place was empty. 1) incompetence and inability to shuffle a table booking system? 2) simply cant be bothered to try and shuffle tables 3) simply had no intention of trying to assist us or make our experience worth having. These are the only reasons I can see for poor treatement from a front of house management team that are supposed to be welcoming and inviting.
