The Team at JOHN LEWIS LEICESTER customer services (6 Jan 2025) were very helpful when I had a problem with an online order which was lost or possibly even stolen by Royal mail. This package had been delayed for more than a week but the Team in the store were able to sort it out and rearrange my order. This was a great relief because it was very stressful to hear from Royal Mail customer services that the package had been lost.
This is why it is good to have a reputable department store with a physical store and people present in person. Not an untraceable online business. Keep supporting your High Street stores like John Lewis please.

My review is for the cafe and grotto experience yesterday which I feel was so well organised. Finally a place that has sense to have their staff help people find seats. The lady at the entrance of the cafe was so organised. Also Anna who works in the cafe serving food is brilliant. She has been greeting us for over a year with a smile in her face, even under pressure she is positive and excellent at her job.

Disgraceful service. I bought gifts on the website however they advertised the incorrect weight for chocolates 259g instead of 135g. I accepted a replacement which was also incorrect. Then they uncovered they advertised the incorrect weight. So aside from having to scramble to get replacement presents last minute I?m also having to wait 14 days to return the incorrect replacement for a refund. They?re happy to take your money but not so keen to hand it back even though it was their mistake. I?ll think twice about ordering from them.

he most appalling non existent service I have received in a very long time from John Lewis PLC. Leicester Store. Purchased a significant amount of nursery furniture and paid outright over 18 days ago: none of the order has been delivered with no updates, emails, SMS notifications from John Lewis. Made numerous calls BUT clearly to save money John Lewis has outsourced all customer service and I was routed every time to either India or South Africa. No one was able to help or tell me when I would receive my paid for goods apart from telling me repeatedly that my order was still showing as pended. Spent hours on the phone. Visited the store and was there for over 90 minutes with so many promises made to me once again and yet still no deliveries or promised call backs/emails explaining what their (not mine) problem is......I have been a huge advocate of John Lewis for over 40 years but the service now is so non existent, disparate and siloed areas from the Store, E-commerce department and off shored customer service not talking or working together...I will never shop at John Lewis again as right now I have spent a significant amount of money for prams, cots, changing station etc etc and no goods received!!

Fantastic service from a young man and lady on the computer department. I think the young man's name was Alex. Very knowledgeable and really helpful.

Some great staff, some not so great! It seemed the mangers were less accommodating than the line staff! The selection is always wonderful.

Used to be a lovely cafe with some gluten-free options for cakes. Unfortunately for the last few visits there hasn't been anything available and now they are reducing their options further.

I come to this cafe because of access for our wheelchair using daughter and good toilets. It is always slow service and pointless system of pay here, repeat your order there. But today our drinks were cold and we weren't the only ones taking them back. Come on John Lewis you've got a good site and plenty of space to do better. The young women on the machines were pleasant and probably stressed to the nines poor things.
