Just bought some cycling gloves this morning. No offer of a receipt and absolutely zero enthusiasm for the job. The lad didn?t even bother saying thank you. I used to work at a Halfords store during the lockdown. This was not what I expected.

They repaired my electric bike free of charge although it was one month over the guarantee.They were very helpful but a little bit slow. A few years ago I had a similar problem Again, they were very helpful, but a little bit slow

Poor service the guys not willing to help sad environment dull and depressing would never use again asked a question and the staff member acted like he couldn't be asked he had no uniform and when asked do you work he here he just nodded his head unbelievable no passion no motivation very unprofessional

If you want quick and efficient do not go here (if your a tradesmen thinking of popping down on break/you have stuff to do etc). It?s one of those poorly managed places.Had to wait in the queue for 25/30 minutes behind one person even though there was 7 staff present on site can?t imagine how useless they are when they are busy.Do not use this Halfords , there is a euro car parts/ kwik fit nearby + many alternatives to this.

Came in to get the seat of my bike fixed, within no time at all Derry had it sorted and ready to go. Answered every question I had about bike maintenance / new parts. Would highly recommend!

Today 3.30pm.Youve broken headlight fixing, bodged repair & no offer of reporting the breakage there & then, I feel really guilty about this report as the young guy (obviously a newbie as I had to give advice as to how to remove the headlight, why wasn't he supervised) I told him to watch out for breaking the fixings or over tightening as I used to work with cars but now have tremors & struggle with any dexterity, hence used Halfords to fit my 4 new bulbs.If it comes loose Halfords, you are buying me a new one, just look at the repair it stands out like a sore thumb. I'm not happy at all & have attempted to report it online.

You might as well have a camara, a self check out ....No warm welcome or help from staff,it's like they don't want too work as a business..Someone really needs to give their staff some basic training on how to work with customers...If it carrys on that will be another business that falls...Peterborough and Wisbech are much better in communication skills .

Still waiting for my complaint to be dealt with! For a company that provides ?excellent customer service? I am yet to see any form of customer service never mind ?excellent?. Went to Putney Road, Leicester, to get a new battery fitted, it took almost 5 hours for them to put it in and with two small kids in the car I had to leave the car with my husband to bring the kids somewhere to get food. Finally they fitted it and then it wouldn?t start - another 30 mins trying to start it and finally my husband left the Halfords. Then two days later, got in the car and dropped the kids off at nursery en route to work and jumped back into the car and it wouldn?t start. Had to get Ubers to and from work for two days, spent a ridiculous amount of time on the phone trying to get through to someone who would help and had to argue with Halfords for someone to come out and check the battery as obviously something had gone wrong (their policy didn?t include coming out to fix a battery they had fitted!!??!!). Finally, I managed to get through to someone who said they would come and check it and was informed that the wrong battery had been put it and they put in the right one. Horray! However, whatever was done, messed up the electrics for the windows and so that was the straw that broke the camels back!! Rang to make a complaint over £50 in Ubers and trip to a garage to look at electrics, never mind mentioning the inconvenience of it all with a two and three year old and a full time job and on 4th dec I rang to say it wasn?t good enough! Was told I?d hear back within 72 hours. That didn?t happen. Rang today 18th dec. On the phone for 40 minutes got passed through to three different people and had to tell the same story every time (even though there is a case number with ALL the details) and then was told by the last guy that he would ring me back by the end of the day. Once again, pure lies!!!! I never complain or leave a review but this is just not acceptable. Ombudsman, here I come.

Purchased an Apollo Gradient Mountain Bike in May 2022 for a 4 mile round trip to work with pre assembly and slime fitted to tyres for puncture protection,had to return before 1st use as they had not fitted the brake pads,also an issue with the crank arms which they said was fine but has continuely been an issue with the crank arms wobbling,now in December 2023 and the brakes have failed again even though should be good for 30,000 miles and I've only done 1,000 miles on straight and flat roads, now also had a puncture and it turns out there was NO slime inserted into tyres causing inconvenience. So paid for something I haven't got and generally a poor service.

Click & Collect Warning.Call the store first before buying anything online. Items online will say they are in stock when they are not.This has happened on more than one occasion. Driving all the way into the store and standing around for an hour while someone pretends to check in the back. Its not worth the petrol.

I went in to get a bulb changed and, all told, it took an hour. The car had its MOT only days previous so I knew everything was otherwise OK. One technician dealing with all the queue waiting and the additional checks only added to the waiting time. I did not ask to be added to the motoring club but was asked for email and phone details on two separate occasions.Another customer commented "its chaos inside as well".
