I went in to have my headlight replaced and Marcin was incredibly helpful even though he struggled to change it at first as my car was being difficult, he found an alternative way to do it. I am very grateful for his help otherwise I would?ve had to go elsewhere. Thank you so much marcin!!

Had a dashcam fitted by Kish who was professional and friendly. He put you at ease and made me feel comfortable enough for me to leave him with car and do a bit of shopping. All staff in this branch I dealt with were very friendly. No complaints at all.

Went to Halford Putney road today afternoon to top up air on my new bike (bought privately).. realised that the rear tyre was puncture.. got a very friendly mate manning the bike counter at Halford putney road and he was patient enough to address the issue swiftly and answered by basis one O one questions about biking (patiently) Impressed with his customer handling and helpful nature. Halford should recognize such wonderful staff members. This is an appreciation review post for him.

This branch let me down at a critical moment ? and it triggered a nightmare chain of events I?m still dealing with today.
In December 2019, I paid for a dashcam fitting at Halfords Leicester Putney Road. Some time after that, I received a parking charge related to that visit. I immediately contacted the store and was assured by the manager that they would take care of it and I didn?t need to do anything else. I trusted them to handle it ? big mistake.
Years later, completely out of the blue, I received another letter ? this time from a debt collection agency. That old parking charge had never been cancelled, and now it had escalated into a legal dispute. To defend myself, I needed basic proof that my car was at this Halfords on the date of the service.
I contacted the store again and was told flat-out: ?Nothing can be done.? No offer to check records, no escalation, no effort. Just a complete refusal to help.
That single failure led to weeks of frustration and corporate stonewalling. I contacted Halfords? national customer service and data protection teams, and the responses I got were contradictory, evasive, and borderline dishonest.
First, I was told no records existed due to a system change in 2020. Then another advisor said archived records might exist ? but only if I could provide transaction details (which I had already sent). Later, a third advisor admitted archives do exist ? but by then they shut the conversation down completely and referred me to their legal team.
As my questions became more difficult to dodge ? and legally grounded ? advisors started dropping out. One suddenly went ?off sick,? others were rotated in and out like I was being passed around on purpose. Nothing I asked for ? including information Halfords is legally obligated to provide under GDPR ? was ever given to me.
And here?s the truth: none of this should?ve happened at all.
If the store had actually followed through in 2019 and properly dealt with the parking charge ? as they said they would ? I wouldn?t be in this situation. I wouldn?t be fighting legal claims, filing ICO complaints, or chasing records from six years ago.
I?ve submitted a Subject Access Request. I?ve logged a formal complaint with the ICO. I?ve documented the entire paper trail, including their conflicting responses.
This isn?t just bad service ? it?s a complete collapse of responsibility, communication, and legal obligation.
Avoid this branch. Avoid this company. Because once they?ve taken your money, you?re on your own ? and if something goes wrong, they?ll vanish.
