My son had 2 tyres replaced. 10 minutes after driving away the tyre sensor came up with a malfunction message. When he returned the car their engineer claimed that it was not their issue, and that the sensor must be faulty, or have a low battery.
There was no issue whatsoever before they changed the tyres, but whilst they had the car it just so happened that a fault developed, but it wasn't anything they'd done???!! Anyone with any sense would accept that the damage to the sensor occurred when they were changing the tyre, but their engineer continued to claim the issue was not their responsibility, and that we would have to pay £100 to replace it!!
We have escalated our complaint but meanwhile I'd suggest you avoid the place!! It could be you next!
UPDATE: Standard response from their customer care department trying to justify the Leicester branch's mistakes!! I don't understand how they can defend their very poor service. We won't be using Halford's again!

Haven?t used the services here. I just picked up a car. What I can say about the place is: it is in need of a clean and a refurb.
I just don?t get it. Halfords is a million pounds company, what?s the excuse for not having a beautiful place, or at least a clean place? Everything was worn out, colours faded. It reminded me of a failing business, a poor business that can?t afford a refurb.
Not a pretty place to be in.
Parking lot was full of weeds, and I just can?t see what?s the excuse.

I took my car in for a service a 3 weeks ago , went to collect it and my car boot wasn?t closed properly, the car was left unlocked and the back wiper no longer works.
I have used this garage for years and have always recommended them up to now.
I have contacted Halfords, have been told at least 4 times that someone will call me within 48 hours, told that it?s been escalated to a senior manager and I?ll be copied into the email etc? No one has contacted me and nothing they say will happen actually happens. Poor customer service with no effort to resolve any issues.

went there a few years ago and left disgusted. asian manager and deputy selling me something i didn't need. scammers. had to say this as still bothered about it. i imagine clueless people paying unnecessary things/services just because some people told them they need it.

The staff at the centre knew nothing of the claim back procedure for disabled people who are exempt from the VAT portion of the bill, they did not offer to find out by contacting HQ and said it was up to me. The actual work was carried out satisfactorily but now I am £100 out of pocket.
It seems Halfords make it deliberately difficult for disabled persons.
In this day and age this is a very poor state of affairs.

Went there with my Arval hybrid car for a full service check. They assured me all the fluids was topped up, but when I pop up the hood nothing was done. They took the car inside again and top up from a green bucket on both coolant reservoirs one for motor and one for ev. I asked them why they use the same coolant and they said? ohhh it is tap water. I was staggered by their answer meaning no respect for money, for your car. I will go further with the complaint because in any given instance you don?t put tap water in your car.
They told me about the money they receive from Arval for this kind of jobs (not to much).
Off course this is big lie because they charge Arval for real coolant, oil, filters, etc but they use tap water.
I spoke with ?man in charge? there and he didn?t know how to open the hood (if you can believe from a mechanic something like this). Everything at this garage looks unprofessional?

I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with the service I recently received at your Halfords branch on Tigers Way, Leicester. My experience was extremely disappointing, and I feel compelled to bring this to your attention.
During my visit, I encountered unprofessional and outright disrespectful behavior from the manager. Instead of addressing my concerns in a courteous and professional manner, they were rude, dismissive, and showed a complete lack of customer service. Their tone and attitude were entirely inappropriate, making the whole experience frustrating and unpleasant.
As a paying customer, I expect a basic level of respect and professionalism, which was entirely absent in this interaction. This level of service is unacceptable, and I strongly urge you to address this issue to prevent other customers from facing similar treatment.

My husband purchased brake disc from Halfords online and had it fitted by local garage person however recently it had started squeaking so contacted customer service who booked free brake check at this place however the person at this place said they wont get involve as it was fitted by third party so contacted customer service who transferred the call to this place which i didnt even ask. The person who answered was extremely rude and said its not free charity shop and advised there wont no involvement from their side to which i told him that I didnt even ask to speak to him and its customer service who transferred the call. This is ridiculous and there was no need to speak to me like. It seem like he was talking as its his personal shop and i am asking for free money from him or what. Its halford online who booked the free check. This guys needs learn how to speak to customers.
